Since they are not listed on the website yet, can you say what the sale price of these new steering knuckles will be?

Why? Their Ultimate UB is proving to be more than durable enough for any U4 application, and it's rebuildable. They dont really have a reason to redesign everything for a larger UB.

I can see that. So why redesigned the knuckles? I seen that Jesse broke one at KOH are they having that many failures with the knuckles?

Redesigned knuckle yet they still don't fit a 1550 joint

I've never seen a broken spidertrax outer knuckle but I know several guys who have bent the inner C. Sounds like the biggest improvements are the added plating inside the inner C and the 7/8 uniball. I know the 3/4 uniballs wore out frequently for some guys.

I could have sworn I saw a picture on here of a 1550 joint shoved in a pair of these knuckles a long time ago. Sounds like spidertrax is developing their own proprietary needle bearing joint that is larger than typical 1480.

I'm just a poor boy who still has junkyard kingpin 60s but I have friends who push the envelope on this high end stuff, so this is just what I know from being around them.

They use to make knuckles for 1550 joints. They didn't sell very well.

Granted but that was before the majority of people out there even knew what 1550 was and the Ram Jet 350 was the hot shit.

1480 is the new Dana 44 and we're only seeing more options for building 1550 sized or bigger stuff these days. The aftermarket is finally catching up. It's not uncommon for the big Ultra4 guys to be pushing 700hp+, you can't tell me they are thrilled with only running a 1480 sized joint. But I get it if they don't want to run the monster Reid Super Kingpins or Crane Magnums. Spidertrax is seriously missing the mark here unless they have plans to release another version.

I thought I read someone was going to post pictures and assumed it was of the u-joint be re-reading it seemed was referring to the knuckles. All the u-joint discussion that make up most of the knuckle thread confused me.

Twisted Customs has a 1550's in Spider Knuckles. But that was 10+ years ago.

Twisted Customs ran them in comp rigs. Tried to get people to buy them and no one was interested. Guess everyone else is just late to the party.

If the market is there maybe someone will make them. Hard to tell the difference between people (more then 10) that would actually pony up cash for them and tire kickers.

I'd bet Spidertrax would make a set if you called. They still make a ton of stuff not posted on the site. I got a set of C's for a 3" housing. Just had to call. But I'd bet they have a knuckle in the works with their new joints that have been posted.
