OK, what's this secret squirrel sauce from Fox

The KOH announcers have been alluding to some new tech from Fox that is allowing Shererrerrr to go 20-24mph faster.

Spool valves?
Mag shocks?
?

Hello, it's a secret. I heard them say it many times. I bet after the dust settles the details will start to leak out. (No pun intended). Orrr..... it's propaganda to psyche the other guys out.

Well I asked about it on the Poly Performance FB page and they said to PM them for the low-down, so it can't be that secret.

I presume it’s their electronically controlled shocks that compensate for inertia, steering angle, etc. I guess fox makes it for the new raptors also. They have a couple of jeeps running around with it and a couple old raptors.

I don't know if they have adopted this to motorsports shocks, but could be.

There's no question I'm buying this as soon as it trickles down to Ultra distance style race mtb bikes (shorter travel ~130 front/100-120 rear). This past year I used the Quarq shock wiz to analyze and tune the shocks on my current mtb race bike it made a huge difference. Mount it to the pressure valve, ride the bike, review the results and suggestions, modify, repeat. In 2 sessions I had it riding great. The Fox system takes this up a whole nother level though and the reviews so far have been great.

I spent many time consuming hours of try and test re-valving of the Bilstein 7100s on my previous truck and Radflos on my current. In the end I got them where they were performing great, but at least having electronic data logging would make it so much quicker to dial in. I know this is in use in motorsports generally but it doesn't seem to have trickled down yet.

THat doesn't sounds like a quick swap into a U4 car though, having to be powered, etc?

I presume it would be designed in. Retrofitting might be a pain.

You can see the bypass tubes on Jason's car in a few of the pictures. It doesn't look like servo activated bypasses.

Unless they did something with the coil-over? I'm not familiar with the system they run on the Raptor or RZR's.

OK, what's this secret squirrel sauce from Fox

I asked Jason what changes fox made.

He said larger bypass tubes and a nitrogen valve instead of the spring in the tube. Says it holds the car up longer and takes the hit smoother.

Need someone smarter to decode the “nitrogen valve” part. Haha

From the pics I have and I was looking for the servos, it didn’t have servos on any bypass tube or c/o resi.

I know I questioned the single 3" IBP coilover on the front of Jordan Pelligrinos new car and they said it was getting the re-circulating resi's like their Gen2 Raptor shocks to help ensure they didnt get shock fade. I dont know if they had any shock fade issues, but with a front engine car, with a 3" IBP that has the fluid volume of a standard 2.5" shock I was doubting it for sure especially for the first lap of desert section.

So #76 is running 90/10's ?

If that "Nitrogen valve" can hold the car up and still take the whoops, basically making the car float, that is one hell of a calculating valve, I would think computer controlled or will be in the near future, because that is key for speed in the desert, probably made out of Plutonium or unobtainium .
