GRRR - Stupid Oil Leaks!

Not that many miles on it and it looks like it's been slinging oil for years!!

Oh well, that's part of the reason I took it out I guess.

little update

Been busy at work, but I have managed to tear everything down, installed new seals, got the correct oilpan gasket, went with the 038 head gasket, MSD-8361 on it's way. Should have the float kit & air cleaner for the holley 4150 carb I will be installing.

Ended up swapping the cam out for a Lunati, little more lift not much, also did the comp cams coil spring & keeper upgrade. Spoke with lunati about the cam and is what they suggested. Dialed it in, that was fun.

This time, will be running it and tuning it on the run stand I built out of 4X4's and some angle iron. Will post pics later.

Some updated pics

The heads are done, Comp Cams LS Springs, and keepers:

Mocking the run stand up to bolt up the engine

All bolted up!

I hope to have fixed the oil pan leak

Rebuilt the Holley, that was fun, a lot of parts.

My new air cleaner, real happy with this!

And I took some advice, this came in today!

Will get to work on the rest of the assembly tomorrow hopefully...have to wire up the run stand, add the radiator, and a few minor other things tach..etc
