Canít get bumpstop out!!!

Anyone have additional ideas how to remove this thing. I have sprayed WD 40 between the bumpstop and can. Tried beating the top of the bump stop with hammer. I have put a pipe wrench on it and tried to rotate the bumpstop to loosen things up. All with no luck. The bumpstop hasn’t moved a inch. Yes, snap ring is removed and can bolt is loose. It has been installed for almost 9 years

Sounds like you have some aluminum to steel corrosion

Most common way to get it was powdered drain cleaner. Make sure you get one that doesn't include aluminum already

heat the outer mount and coole the bump with CO2? Depressurize first

Well, yeah, i get that. To help break the parts apart, pry between the pinch bolt bungs with a prybar of your choosing.

I've driven a cold chisel or a big screwdriver in between the pinch bolt bungs, parallel to the bump can, to help spread it just a bit. It rarely takes much spread, but depends on what's welded on, where, and I've never tried removing one that's been in place as long as OP's.

Mine were in the cans for like 8 years until I destroked them this year. I did just that. Jacked the rig up high, pulled the bolts out of the cans (SAW cans/bumps) and spread the ears apart top and bottom and one side basically fell out. The other side need to be tapped out with a mallet.
