Original Longfield axle shaft warranty.

Is anyone honoring the warranty on original Longfield 300M, 35 spline shafts? Just twisted one off after 14 years of use.

good luck! Trail gear used to cover them, but i'm not sure if they still will. either way, it would be with one of the TG shafts.

sounds like a good time to buy RCV's

Well all I need is a shaft splined on both ends. It's the Longfield CVs. Everything else is perfect. The CV is still tight like new. So, I wonder who rolls the splines on 300m shafts?

I am assuming you have d60 rcv's hence the 35 spline and not Toyota / longfield/tg stuff? Either way if they were longfield, RCV made them for longfield back then and should still be covering the product. I would give them a call, they will be able to take care of you. Worst case they can make you the shaft you need.

Correct D60 CVs.
Bummer Mr. Long isn't here. Great guy to talk to. Problem is, it twisted at the cut splines at the carrier. Hoping to get something a little stronger.

Call rcv, they most likely won't warranty longs any longer.
They will make new ones...

https://trail-gear.com/longfield-cus...le-shafts.html

trail-gear is still putting out the full line of shafts with the Longfield brand.

still, RCV would be my recommendation, but i'm sure there are a couple others who are also putting out quality shafts.

TG was warrantying them several years ago. Deal was with your original receipt and sending in your broken OG Longfield they would give you a secret sauce "double heat treated" dirty 30 instead of a single heat treat standard dirty 30... That is what they did with mine, whether single vs. double heat treat was actually done or means anything is beyond me but its better than nothing. The double heat treat replacement was likely a while supplies last kind of deal.

Next shaft purchase will be with RCV for the same reasons I went with Bobby the first time around.

Are you guys handling the warranty of the original Longfield D60 CV axles? I thought all he did was re-sell your axles for the D60.

"Yes we do for the Dana 60 axles.

Regards,

Christian

RCV Performance Customer Support "

Sounds great so far, let's see if there isn't a sticking point. I prefer to handle problems via email. No miscommunication via a phone call. If it's not documented, it didn't happen. No matter the warranty outcome, I'd still buy RCV as these have held up extremely well for years.

Got an email from RCV today. Wanted my address to send the warranty replacement parts to! cannot say how pleased I am!

I also have one Branik front shaft. I guess at some time I'll find out how good their warranty is. I think it's a one time replacement is what they said.

When I spoke to branik about doing some rear sterling shafts for me, they said there is no warranty whatsoever on them. I inquired with them about shafts because they are 1/2 the price of rcv when looking for 35 spline 300m full float shafts. Dutchman seems to be the best bang for the buck, also with a written warranty, however they only do up to hu tuf shaft material.

And that's why they are 1\2 price Point...
It's a good thing to have choices, and be able to choose a vendor in this situation.

I don't think you guy realize how much better it is now than in 2000. Then I went with Moser as it was damn tough to get AFFORDABLE custom length 35 spline front shafts. I have a pile of those twisted off. Now we have many companies that can handle just about anything now and warranty most of it.
