Father-in-law kept complaining his trenching machine was chewing up expensive Ag tires:



Thing has somuch torque it would spin the rim inside the tire, goofing up the beads:



A quick call to Scott got him a set of 16.1 locks:

My cousin is in that business also (agricultural drainage tile.......he's booked at least a year in advance). His old machine was the same setup but I don't think he ever had a problem with spinning tires on rims. The rear tandem setup was pretty neat........a single rear axle connected to hydraulic controlled floating arms with an enclosed chain drive between the front and rear tandem. You could have the tandems float or lift the front or rear tire off the ground.

His new machine just have four tires, but they are probably around a 54" rice and cane style.........handles muddy fields much better.
