NV4500 Gear Oil

I put an NV4500 in my Jeep and need to change the oil - I was thinking of going with 75W-90 Castrol Synthetic again, but I was wondering if someone else had a better suggestion. Thanks.

Don't use that oil. It requires syntorq which is not the same.

I've run the dealer stuff and the cheaper stuff. Mine has always sounded like a box of rocks.

NV 4500 oil

Go to dealer and buy it. I found the GM part number stuff cheaper than the Dodge stuff.

maybe try some lucas oil stabilizer in addition to the reccomended oil. that stuff is so damn thick it would quiet down any gear i could imagine. it says on the bottle it wont void warranties in any gearbox, but then all kinds of sh*t is claimed on all kinds of bottles.

i have run lucas in my 203, 205, 44, and 60, (and ill run it in my 60/70 too) and have had no problems with the lube foaming (based on lack of wear, no observed puking of fluid, etc.)
