harness mount - wrap around & eyelet

looking at harness mounting options for the new cage. looks like most of my mounts will end up being wrap around. my question is, can i just take the eyelets out of most summit, jegs, RCI style harnesses and run them wrap around style, or do i need a specific wrap-around type harness?

example of wrap around:

Just take the eyelet out. make sure to heat up the very end of the nylon to keep it from fraying in the future.

I just bought the Peak belts from Summit and ordered them as wrap around. They were the only cheap ones with a 2" crotch belt, all the others are 3".
