4.3l Propane conversion

I am looking to up the power in my Toyota.

I want to get rid of the 22re and install a 4.3l v-6. I found one real close and at a good price. Problem is, it is a CPFI motor. I know that the wiring harness for this engine is going to cost a few dollars.

This is when I was given the idea to run propane.

I know what parts I need to run the propane. I need the mixer, an adapter for the mixer to intake, the fuel lockoff valve and the regulator/convertor. These can be had cheep off Ebay, so that is not a problem.

My question is: What wiring do I need from the donor engine. I am thinking that I don't need anything and I just run it like a carbureted engine. But I have read somethings that say I will need the wiring for the spark advance.

Any help would be grteat. And yes I did a search, but all I have forund is 22re propane conversions.

Thanks

you need a carburetor distributor
can you get a 4 barrel intake for a 4.3? if so run a 425 or ohg450
the 425 impco bolts directly to holley baseplate needs adapter for quadrajet, the ohg needs an adapter to either holley or quadra baseplate.
the holley double pumper baseplate is the one to use, Summit sells a Proform billet for cheaper $125 then a holley replacement $170+ and you have less work to make it work under a mixer. anodized in trendy purple to boot.

the quadrajet baseplate is not good for LPG
prone to throttle shaft problems and you would have to fight the spring loaded secondary linkage causing irractic idle speeds...

go Holley style

Thanks for all the help. All I need to know now is what to do with the wiring.

The only wiring I have on mine is the cold start solenoid, which isn't really needed.
