Hardest Trail in Moab

Just a quick opinion grabber...

Which trail in Moab (of the trails known by many) is the hardest to complete. Why is it the hardest...what kind of rigs can and cannot make it through. Back up your claims with pictures of obstacles, carnage, etc....

Last time out there, didn't get to make it to the proving grounds...and i want to know what they have to offer.

Thanks in advance!

area BFE definetly has some tough obstacles to play.

The rest of Moab really depends on the rig and wheel base. My toyota at 112" made short work of the usual trails and obstacles, but a buddy's jeep had a hell of a time at 96" he had way more pucker factor.

This is what I heard. They are building some resort back there. The builder or resort owner didn't want his view ruined, so they rented the property infront to keep the wheelers out.

Damm shame. That trail was pretty cool.

BFE is way up there.

On another note... I really enjoyed Pritchett Canyon in and Behind the Rocks out... Was the hardest for me on that trip but I was having some hard luck with breakage on some of the rigs I was with so I was climbing a lot of the stuff with another rig in tow...

I did BFE with just me and an old bronco...

I haven't been on the above trails, but I thought Moab Rim was cool. The wheeling wasn't really that tough, but the off camber mountainside and steps and cracks and rocks that you have to drive on that are right on the side of the cliff make it really scary!

My dad said the same thing on Rusty Nail. I told him he was more than welcome to try and get out (this was while winching around the corner I believe called "No Right Turn" for obvious reasons). I also reminded him at the time that South Carolina was a long walk home from Moab.

Area BFE has a few tough trails like Black Flag and Upper helldorado can be tough but the toughest one out there is Suicidal Tendencies. If you're planning to try it at EJS, let us know and we will have cameras there

Saw the signs for suicidal tendencies when we ran upper helldorado last year I would love to watch a rig run it.

I also get a little pucker out of Rusty Nail. I hate hieghts though. I enjoyed it a lot though. Beautiful part of the country.

Have you ever seen the Formula off-road videos here on the board from Finland??
Imagine that, but with loose rocks all the way up. It is insane.

Just remeber if you go to Area BFE to drop a few bucks into the donation box to help out Jeremy. He keeps that open for us to play on and doesn't charge anything!!

Throw the 49's on and get it. Several people have talked about running it, but no one has stepped up yet.

Cavey hit the nail on the head.

If you're name is PIG, Kane Creek is a bitch.

For the rest of us, Area BFE is the shit. Even right on top near the parking lot you can find hours of tough single obstacles.
