It's mostly not worth it to change a vehicle to 4wd if the factory offers it in a 4wd version. Better bet is to just sell the 2wd and get a 4wd. Alot of fabbing and money, the money you'd spend to convert would pay for one.

Buy 4wd vehicle.

(2wd-4wd Toy isn't terribly difficult--not a heckuva lot more than doing a SAS and a tranny swap at the same time.)

older Chevys aren't bad to convert. This really depends on WHAT IS IT????? I have a 1997 2wd Chevy Pickup. To convert that will cost a lot more and take a lot more time than it would to convert a 1987 Chevy pickup.
