A Little Southern Missouri Wheelin This Past Weekend

Finally, we got a chance to get back out this past weekend and run the cob webs out of our rigs.

This area is mostly full of red granite rock ~ not forgiving at all.

My camera battery shot craps on me so I didn't get the entire photo's I would've liked, but I got a few good ones to show off.

Jimmy climbing one of the three water falls
It's pretty growed up with weeds so it's hard to see just how big the rocks really are.

Jeff climbing up the same fall.

Wild man himself Jake in his Toy 4-runner.
He's running stock D44's with a marlin crawler - right here he broke his outer stub axle ~ done...

Denny climbing the short fall.

And then the typical Toyota rescuing the Jeep Thing again

I met some of the guys from Make it or Break it at Tellico and got to wheel with some of you guys. Had a great time. Anyway, I met Bill (green scout) at Crawfords and would like to get in touch with him. Could someone help me out?

Mother nature - who else?!?

The moss on the rocks really makes it a challange to walk on much less climbing them with your rig.

I was thinking about you guys out west when I made the statement about the weeds

Only down side is we get chiggers and poison ivy - if you’re allergic to it. But that's a trade off I'll take to have nice shady areas to wheel in. In the fall and winter it take on a completely different look.

Takes on different look and becomes a different chanllenge. The fallen leaves cover and camouflage the rocks and surrounding terrain and an inch or two of wet, decaying leaves is like a layer of slippery snot that can make things interesting to say the least.
