Alright one last post before I jet again back to the bar for work. Looks like these guys are getting closer and closer finishing up some details. Jake's figuring out the final front end issues which include fabricating a drag link, as well as making that winch fit--so he's choppin' out some of the core support.

On the back end, the guys are figuring out the fuel tank, running lines, etc... Going to put a grommet of some sort to protect the lines so yes we know that needs to be done

I took a few more pics of the cage while I was back there. They still have to add the 5 point mounts as well as the X brace

Alright I'm out.. Oh and here's a short clip of WAKE UP CALL up this morning with the air horns:

BTW see you guys tomarrow afternoon!

Here's the new rule that she emailed me. There is also going to be a new ProMod class much like the WEROCK promods, but with 40s and hydro.

2007 RROCK Legends Class Frame Width Change:
To allow tire clearance for steering radius
the frame may be narrowed to a minimum of 24" outside to outside
from the feet area (or where the OEM frame begins narrowing) forward.

All other frame/body requirements will remain the same.

Your best bet is to keep emailing Debbie to make sure you stay legal for your class.

props

I had the oppourtunity to stop by and watch/help with the build for a few hours this weekend down at Expert Offroad and I would like to send some props to Jake, Jason and Brad for having the crazy notion to build something like the Tracker. While I was there I was able to see the most 'all out' thrash on a vehicle I have ever seen. There had to be about 9 or 10 guys whalin on this thing trying to make it all come together. I know when I saw Scott and Jeremy bug out on Sunday, they looked tired, but they were stoked about bieng part of the build.

Oh, and, I thought it was cool to see Greg, the owner of Expert Offroad, to give up his shop for three LONG days, buy all sorts of parts and supplies for the build, but also he was out there beatin on the thing also. I was also impressed that Greg has cool enough employee's to be there doing all the hard stuff for the build.

I hope Muchado got some good video of the build. Oh and for those of you who watched the wake up call that Muchado downloaded, Greg was kind enough to "REALLY" hit the air horn later on Sunday. That air horn must be off of a locomotive. THANKS Greg for the full blast of the air horn hooked up to the shop air compressor.

Oh, and toy welder, do you do exhaust work? Or just heckle on the laptop at 7 o'clock in the mornin?

Once again to Jake, Jason and Brad- the toy looks cool!

nice hood scoop

Just got home and out of the shower. After living in the shop for the last 3 days I really needed to take care of some personal hygene matters!!!!!

Dave, I can't put into words how awesome Greg and Alan are. They were there right along with us gettin' it done. A big thank to Jason, Brad, Scott, Jeremy and Adam as well. Also thanks alot to dave as he ran us up a die for the bender from KC to Topeka about an 1.5 hour trip one way.

I'm gonna leave ya hanging for tonight as I am dog ass tired and I can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight. But I will tell you that the tracker is now back home. See you tomorrow!

Don't worry duane you are the best exhaust guy I know! Even though I pass possibly upwards of 200 other so called exhaust places to get to your place. You'll be getting a call on the exhaust. I am still sleepy and just now starting to come back to life. So I'll get to posting some more later this week.

here is the article I just put together for our club newsletter.

I am just starting to come back to life after our 3 day thrash to put together our comp rig. It was an awesome time and it was a blast to spend it with so many good natured, talented people. We had over 47 hours of shop time from 11 am Friday until 8 pm Saturday. That times 7 highly dedicated people and those who stopped by to lend a hand as they could, put us at over 350 man hours over the course of 3 days. Friday had the appearance of our most productive day. Disassembly is always fun. Even though it took several people most of the day to just remove the dash. I guess a pre-airbag car would have been much smarter! The Red Bull girls showed up that night and got us going with a couple cases of Red Bull. Needless to say I don’t think any of us slept much due to the juice and helicopters hovering shop. Still everyone was up Saturday morning and ready for another day of abuse. Even on only a couple hours of sleep Saturday was a 20 hour day which led us to bed around 4 AM Sunday. Greg Pert showed up with the Air Soft gun in sniper position to keep us loligagers busy… So we got a lot more accomplished. Saturday night was the best sleep ever, that helicopter from Friday night could have landed in the parking lot and I don’t think anyone would have noticed. It even took a locomotive horn to wake Adam Ross up from his sleeping place in one of the old seats in the shop….. As everyone became more familiar with personalities the jokes got better too…. Greg thought he’d demonstrate how loud the air horns are by blowing out his own ear drums… Those are pretty loud huh Greg? The joke will really be on you guys when the air scoop stays on there too! Greg had even found an arc welder on Sunday that we could use to weld the spring plate to the differential housing and as we frantically tried to clean the shop so some actual work could be done in there Monday morning, Alan finished welding up the last suspension piece. It was such a blast and so physically draining on everyone. If I had it to do all over again… You know I’d be there in a heart beat! You guys are the best!

Thanks to Greg and Alan from Expert Offroad! Rob from Muchado. Brad, Jason, Scott, Adam, Jeremy. These guys put in some serious time to make this happen. Also thanks to our product sponsor’s Expert Offroad, Muchado Productions, KS Rocks, Trailtough, Superwinch, Rancho, BFG, Inland Truck Parts, Red Bull. Also thanks to the guys that stopped in to lend a hand or thought and especially to the significant others who put up with us being gone for 3 days.

No new pictures yet. It is hard to get pictures after work cause it's dark by the time I get home. I had it out friday checking out the suspension but I didn't take any pictures for some reason. This one has caused my to want to get rid of my DD tracker. Lets just say it's not very cool anymore...

It's actually getting cooler again. I found a tree at the park over the weekend. The snow was real nice! You missed a good toy run!

I've been terribly busy and lazy.
I have been trying to find time to get in the garage but it just isn't happening. I might have one free night this week.
