Some OEM Bling

Just installed a new pinion brake kit from OEM. Man, this thing is NICE! Install was a snap, as well. It has a lot more clearance than my old kit from Boyce. Yes, I will be making a tube guard for it soon, heh. I had some weird brake issues last weekend, and decided that a change was in order. I also installed a new wilwood pedal and MC to go along with this guy. 7:1 pedal, 7/8 bore MC. We'll see how it works out this coming weekend.

Pics of old brake:

Very nice

How much bigger is the new rotor? Nice 4 piston calipers too..

What problems did you have with the old setup?

the rotor is a bit bigger, not sure - maybe 1". Dunno exactly what went wrong with the old setup - but it wouldn't release when you let off the pedal. I had to drive through the brakes, and it got pretty hot. I'm thinking the caliper siezed up from non-use. I just wanted to be sure - so I got a new MC and this baby. You can see in the pics of the old one where the paint burned from the heat, sweet...

And build it DAMNED stout. I bent mine a few months back on Annihilator and put it into the caliper. Took a lot to more it back. You can't build it strong enough.
