bolt strength

1/2" grade 8, in a single shear. Going through a 2.625" Johnny Joint? Any body have this reference?

the length will not matter in single shear alone. It will cause problems in bending. Just put a tab on the outside of it and be done.

i changed it to another that has grade 8 shear listed in plain numbers. Looks like a more complete list.
