Dana 60, 15x8 wheel and 39.5 TSL...Will tire rub steering knuckle??

I am running 15" wheels on my dana 60. I previously ran 38.5/11/15 boggers on 15x8" wheesls with 3" backspacing no problems. I switched to 39.5 TSLs, which bulge out more and now and I am concerned about the tire flex hitting the high steer arm, or the factory tie rod location.

Any one else had any isssues or know anyone that had issues. I've searched but come up with nothing. Just trying to cover all bases before I cut an expensive tire.

I was thinking of making a new high steer arm that that angles away from the tire and cutting off the stock tie rod tab.

Any info appreciated, thanks.

i havent seen a problem, I am running 42's on 15x8 eagle 589's with stauns inside. my bs is around 3.75 inches i think. I did a hub conversion to run 6 lug hubs but you still should be fine other than you might have to gring your calipers.

I wouldn't do that. There's more to a steering arm than meets the eye. I would put them on and see what you have. If your running leaf springs,i would be more concerned with that.

I have run my wheels for 3 years now with 38.5s and have my calipers ground so I know the wheels wont be a problem

I already have them on and on the leafs are fine. I havent measured yet but I have under 3" between the tire side wall and high steer arm and stock tire rode hole. Actually closer to 2.5". I will get a measurement some time if I can.

No problem with mine rubbing. 79' Ford 60, Chebby brakes, 15X8 wheels, 15-39.5/15 swampers.
