Custom CV shafts

I have hit a wall and really not sure where to go from here. I am working on my mini buggy which is modeled off the Polaris RZR and I am to the point where I need to source some CV axle for the independent suspensions. I am using differentials which have a flange that the shaft bolts to, the rear will be using mazda miata spindles and the front will be honda civic.

I need shaft for the rear that will have about 2" of travel and is capable of 30 degrees at each end and am not having any luck.. The ATV stuff is to small to even think about. The front will need 30 at diff and 48 or so at spindle for turning, the problem is the spline requirements of each spindle, the flange at the diff side should not be quite so hard.

Any idea what I can use. Its going to have about 200hp, 45:1 reduction and 32" tires.

Might wanna check out the last couple IFS builds on here, but I doubt they will help. I'm thinkin you probably should have figured this out before building around parts that may not exist.

why didnt you source these before the build again?

tracker guys, specifically mike hagen rpm4x4 or something like that on here, has used toyota IFS half shafts on his tracker based rigs and he's had good success up to a 35" tire. they have a 6 bolt flange but arent very compact. you might look into those for an option.

I knew the concept was sound and I am creative enough to make something work if there wasn't an easier way. Hell I can attach two steering ends together with a slip yoke in the middle. We have come to far to stop because of an axle issue! Just trying to pool the power of the PBB together to come up with some ideas, Thanks!

Jesse,

I am using a honda civic front spindle, I will use the outer civic joint at the wheel which gets 48 degrees but no slip the inner will have to be a flange style and allow for at least 2" of slip, the flange is about 4.5" in diameter on the differential. Can you adapt this 38 degree unit to my civic shaft and make a custom flange for the diff? Any round about price for the setup would be?
