Dynatrac. Expensive, but strong and rebuildable

I had good life from ACDelco Professional ball joints.

I’m retaining the 05+ Superduty width. I’m just moving the pumpkin over. So instead of a 38.93” long shaft and 16.69” short, my housing takes a 36.6” and a 19”.

OEM BJs not good enough?

If not, I’ll definitely give TTX BJs a shot

Spicers not good enough? You can get a Spicer set (upper and lower) for $70 a side.

Spicer #708238

Stock BJs were shot, so I need a set of lowers for all 4. I'm ok with cheap as long as it isn't gonna fall apart every 6 months.

Hijack: How are you stretching the short side? I want to do the same thing but on the fence between splicing with a sleeve or just retubing the short side.

ECGS just sent me pics of my housing. And my driver side knuckle showed up.

The center is, but the tubes are 1/2” wall instead of .370. It is also wider and the pumpkin is 1” outward vs an Ultimate 60

EMWest, Fusion4x4, and ECGS all use the Spicer center but use their own tubes. They are welded better too, no spinning the tubes...

Very nice!

Are you able to share cost of that setup, by chance?

About $1500 total. Even with all new parts, I figure I should have an assembled front axle with a detroit locker for $3700.

Is there anybody currently making chromoly 1550 inner shafts in 35 or 40 spline? Or stubs in chromoly/300m? I talked to dynatrac and they sell 40 spline 1550 shafts for their xd60 axles the guy I talked to a guy who wasn't really sure about pricing/availability to get a set made to custom length. I'm assuming some company is making the forgings for them so somebody must have access to them.

Branik’s 2pc will be ready by the end of July. Dynatrac told me they will not sell custom inner shafts, only entire axle assemblies.

Did Branik hint as to what they are looking at for pricing?

$530 per 2pc shaft in 4340 Chromoly. About $2120 for all 4 shafts minus u-joints. Didn’t ask about 300m

Dana / Spicer parts #2013558-2 is listed as a 7.03 stub 1550 joint and 19" inner.
Is there a OEM Ford part # for this combo?

19.31” inner.

But the F550 LH inner shaft is 19.12”

Found this on an earlier page

Spicer #2013563-2

Inner shaft #2013554-1, 41.54" long
Spicer #2013558-2
Inner shaft #2013551-2, 19.31" long

They both add a little more width over even the previously discussed 550 shafts.

Maybe one of those is what MNTal has pictured? Dana's site does not list an application for it ... maybe they are a special option 350 of some sort?

I saw that as well. I am needing a 7.03 stub, 15.50 joint and a 19.1 or a 19.3" inner shaft length. Spicer #2013563-2 is fine just looking for a Ford part # as they seem to be more cost effective.

so a little off subject, but what has been found for master cylinders for manual brakes for the 05+ brakes? I might have overlooked it trying to read all of this.
