Treadwright retreads now in 37"!

Just got an email newsletter about this. I run them on my DD in 285/75R16's and they are a really nice tire. I can't see buying tires elsewhere as good as these are. Looks like they'll be in the MTR pattern, and I'd imagine built off of goodyear military carcasses based on the size. Nothing on their website about it yet.

Well we would like to officially announce that starting in August (projected) of this year we will be offering the 315/75R16, 315/70R17, and 37x12.50R16.5 in the Guard Dog tread design exclusively! Please continue to check up on our website, Facebook, or Twitter for news and updates.

Also, starting in April we now have available the 285/65R18 in the Guard Dog tread design! Our first 18" tire in a M/T tread!

Mine were almost exactly half what a new BFG A/T costs, so I'd imagine that would be a good rough-guesstimate-idea of what the'll run, so I'd imagine ~$175 per tire.

Boy, those prices are tough to beat! I'm always a little worried about the idea of a recapped tire, but with a 2 year, 24k warranty, you'd think they'd be pretty decent. Does anyone have any first had expirence with them?

EDIT: Anwsered my own question using the search function, I see people are pretty happy with them...

Yeah, I LOVE mine. Mine are the BFG A/T tread and they are even on BFG A/T carcasses. I got the kedge grip in mine (ground up walnut shells), but haven't put them in the snow yet. I got them right after our last snow storm. They seem to be wearing quite well so far and ride great. I've run actual BFG's and I see zero difference. The tread is formed just like a brand new tire, so it's not exactly like gluing on a cap like they used to do.

I figured I'd try them out on my truck first and I'll have about a year on them by the time I'm ready for tires on the wifemobile. If they check out, I'm absolutely going to put a set on there too. Can't beat $100/tire for 285's though!

Maybe that changed recently.

Their site usually says they don't sell the 33x12.50 because they can't find enough good carcasses to support the market.

EDIT: if you clicked the tire you would see this:

"PLEASE NOTE: This product is discontinued. At this time there are NOT plans to bring it back due to the very limited casings available that are retreadable."
