I never took one from my job. The old hvac tech did a side job at my moms house and said he would pick it up later and never did. Its a full bottle.

Cuda K5 01-23-2012 07:31 PM

It's scheduled to be phased out anyway.

I haven't put in any new equipment with it in over 2 years.

410 is harder to condense. Propane is almost identical to R-22.

BOFF 01-24-2012 10:13 PM

WOW!!

It was $176.00 out the door here at the end of December.

God Bless,

I have been selling Payne dry 22 units like crazy here in AZ and they are flying off the shelf at all of our other branches. Idk how high R22 is going to get. I think if it goes over 500 a jug and is still that high by summer, all our R22 units are going to collect dust. But idk if it will get quite that high. I know carrier plans on pumping out 2x as much dry units this year than last year

We were at 153 for a house price yesterday morning. At noon we were 290, 2pm we were 349

RedPurdueYJ 01-24-2012 10:52 PM

Why are the prices going up for this, what I assume, refrigerant?

Corrected :flipoff2:

Cuda K5 01-24-2012 10:55 PM

Basically whoever is supplying refrigerent decided to produce less this year to drive prices up

I'd check around. make sure there were no back door epa shit that was enacted.

RedPurdueYJ 01-24-2012 11:00 PM

LOL
I did a quick 2 second search on google for "r-22".

First result was from the EPA. Not making this shit up.

Fuck the government.

Cuda K5 01-24-2012 11:05 PM

Yes, the phase out stages are as that link states, but there is nothing for 2012. I wonder if the dry 22 units drove up the production of 22 requireing them to put a cap on production this year....

Cuda K5 01-24-2012 11:06 PM

I believe this phase out also includes propane. Hank hill is in deep shit
