Coors Light LU campaign - takes 30 seconds

PICS OF HOT ZOMBIE CHICKS IN THE THREAD BELOW!

PLEASE do this, it will take less than 30 seconds to do if you have a Facebook page. I am trying to get the letter generator up running for this for those of you that don't have facebook.

You can skip right down to the directions for this campaign if you don't wanna read the background and the idea behind it..

BACKGROUND:

Bebe and several other PBB members and OHV users have teamed the Pacific Legal Foundation to SUE Tahoe National Forest to get 300 miles of ohv routes back in that forest. A little bit of research by PBB members has shown that in the past, the Adolph Coors Foundation has actually donated $$ to the PLF!

It's all marketing, these companies donate to organizations that they think will make them look good when it comes to their customers. For example, Sierra Nevada beer donates a ton of $$ to the Sierra Club. (Never drink Sierra Nevada BTW) Coors has also donated to the SC....but if we SHOW them that there is a huge number of their customers that are passionate about their access with wheeled motorized vehicles, we MAY get help. We NEED the funding from the big orgs, and we have the numbers to do it!

Our last FB campaign posting on the Sec of the Navy's Facebook wall about Johnson Valley made a HUGE impact. We know that from reports from the lobby firm that ORBA hired. Now lets do it with Coors!

DIRECTIONS:

1. "Like" the Coors light page on Facebook:

http://www.facebook.com/coorslight

2. Cut and paste the post below (OR EVEN BETTER CREATE YOUR OWN POST!) and post it on Coor's Facebook page:

It has come to my attention that the Adolph Coors Foundation has donated in the past to the Pacific Legal Foundation. As an Off Highway Vehicle enthusiast, I would like to thank you for this past donation. Our access to public lands and forest with wheeled motorized vehicles is constantly under attack, and currently the Pacific Legal Foundation is fighting to open up 300 miles of roads that were closed in Tahoe National Forest for no reason.

What good are public lands if the public can not access them to enjoy them? John Muir even wanted the public to have roads on public lands in order to access them. In a letter to President Roosevelt he stated, "I am anxious that (nature) may be saved from all sorts of commercialism and marks of man's work, OTHER THAN THE ROADS REQUIRED TO MAKE IT'S WONDERS AND BLESSING AVAILABLE."

Thank you Coors for your support for motorized access!

PLEASE PASS THIS ON, AND THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Kurt

Would you look at that?

Huh....that's Bill Plein's old Exploder that Kurt now owns at the Rock zombie Bikini rig wash this past weekend.

I will bet I got more pictures of that event if more people post on Coor's Facebook page.

Not to derail your train, or remove support from the only fluid that gives my blood concentration a run for it's money - but is the PLF not considered an environmental organization? or has Coors changed their policy since 2003? or were we lied to? just looking for clarification...

Re: Coors Mail (ARH)
Dear Peter S.:
Thanks for your e-mail. We are always interested in hearing from our consumers.
The Coors Contributions Program is a resource which helps to identify community
concerns, participate in solutions and develop close working relations with
community organizations and special interest groups. Coors gives small amounts of
money to large numbers of organizations.
Coors does not contribute to environmental organizations. We maintain that every
individual has the right to participate in the social process, and we do not attempt
to influence any person's or employee's support to certain organizations
. We hope
this information is helpful, Peter.
If you have other questions or comments, please contact us again either by e-mail at
coors.com or by calling the Coors Consumer Hotline: 1-800-642-6116. We are available

Re-fuckin-gardless:

If 20,000 potential customers post up on thier facebook page that access is important to them, then the possiblity that Coors (or the adolf coors foundation) will donate to a pro-access group is greater.

About Us

The Foundation supports organizations that promote the western values of self-reliance, personal responsibility and integrity. We believe these values foster an environment where entrepreneurial spirits flourish, helping Coloradans reach their full potential. The Foundation places a high priority on programs that help youth to prosper, encourage economic opportunities for adults and advance public policies that reflect our nation's founding principles.

BTW: when you donate to the PLF, you cannot "earmark" your funds to any specific lawsuit. Money donated is used by the PLF as they see fit. So we can't donate directly to the Tahoe lawsuit, but we can donate to the org... Same with Coors

Public Policy
The Adolph Coors Foundation will consider funding requests from out-of-state organizations, only if the mission of those organizations is to promote public policies that:

Enhance understanding of the free enterprise system

Preserve the principles upon which our democracy was founded to help ensure a limited role for government and the protection of individual rights as provided for in the Constitution

Encourage personal responsibility and leadership

Uphold traditional American values

land-use issues are just as much about big government vs. small government as they are about so called "environmentalism:.
