Eastern Sports and Out Door show all assult weapons & products not allowed

So what happens when you do that you limie brits! Everyone is pulling out! One of the sponcers is a Vodka company.

The Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show is a unique celebration of the authentic hunting and fishing traditions that are cherished by millions of Americans and their families. We are proud to celebrate these pastimes by featuring 1,200 exhibitors offering a diverse range of products from outfitters to fishing boats and RVs, from archery to art and from clothes to cabins.

As a hunting-focused event, we welcome exhibitors who wish to showcase products and firearms that serve the traditional needs of the sport. Clearly, we strongly support the 2nd Amendment. However, this year we have made the decision not to include certain products that in the current climate may attract negative attention that would distract from the strong focus on hunting and fishing at this family-oriented event and possibly disrupt the broader positive experience of our guests.

ESS is proud to participate in the preservation and promotion of the rich hunting and fishing tradition passed from generation to generation by American families.

Sort of like having a car show and not allowing any V8 engines...

I need to find a Cabella's. I was eating at a mall yesterday and there was a Dick's sporting Goods there. I never stepped foot inside the store.

I like Scheels too.

Scheels | Sporting Goods | Hunting/Fishing Gear | Clothing | Footwear

In fact, I think I like it better. It's only 15 miles farther up the highway.

just wrote them an email

[email protected]

I told them I will also write every other retailer that still decides to go and boycott them. Also told them to look up Jim Zumbo.

I love Dicks and will continue to shop there. Mine locally has guns but in limited supply. They are more of a "sports" store than a "outdoor" store. I don't see any issue with a store saying they wish not to sell something.

I also shop Cabelas. It is an outdoor store with a huge array of guns.

Pretty simple I don't buy track shoes at Cabelas and I don't buy guns at Dicks. Each store has its niche.

Dick's decision was all theirs to make, but every decision has repercussions. I think they didn't realize how many people will not shop there anymore. AR 15's are a sport also. AR 15's are used in more shooting matches then other guns. Frankly, looking at Dick's facebook page, the people saying they will shop there don't know squat about guns and thinks they stopped selling all semi autos and probably never shopped there to begin with. I hope Dick's goes out of business.

Bastardized indeed considering the intent of the second is to outline our Right to bear arms should we ever need to fight tyranny, foriegn or domestic.

"With more than 40 vendors, including Cabela’s, backing out of the Harrisburg show, there’s a lot of pressure for all vendors to join in the boycott, but many others say they can’t give up the business they’ll get."

Me thinks that maybe they need to look at it from the perspective of how much business they will be giving up if they attend......boycott the idiots that decide to show up and punish them severely for not be a supporter of our constitutional rights. I hope they end up losing 10X what they make simply due to attending.........

it is way better. i was shopping at that store when it was a hardware store with some outdoor equipment, a few bikes and guns in fargo, nd. their stores are amazing now, with mostly very high quality stuff. they've always been a solid 2A supporting company.

I would also hope that turnout for the event will be quite low, making it even less attractive to attend as a vendor.
