pathetic that we can't get 25,000 signatures ???!!!

How the hell can the offroad community by so big, yet we can't even get the signatures we need? I seriously thought we would get 25,000 in a just a few days. I was hoping for more like 50,000 - 100,000 by the deadline, but that's obviously not going to happen. The videos and links are all over Facebook, forums, websites, etc. But the signatures just aren't coming in. Between desert racing, rock crawling, atvs, and dirtbikes, there has to be hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts,

Do people not care, like "that's way out in California, I'll never drive all the way there from Tennessee"? Are they too lazy to take two minutes to sign the thing? Do they SUPPORT the expansion? What excuse does anybody have?

Guys will sit there and look at porn for hours, or play stupid little games on Facebook just to pass time, but why won't people take the time to sign the petition?

This is frustrating.

What else can we do?

Oh, by the way, in case you've been living under a rock, watch this video and sign the petition.

Please don't take this the wrong way but if I signed every petition that comes out, that's all I'd be doing. That and I don't do the facebook BS. But just for the record, I do sign quite a few, write letters and try to make people around me aware.

Oh, look at this. I was able to find a thread on here, and you can find the link there as well. So, you don't have to do "the Facebook BS" to know about it.

You could at least sign the petitions that mean something to you. This one should, no matter if you ever plan to wheel at JV or not. I know I will probably never see the place, but I signed it.

You would think that EVERY 4 wheeler in CA would of signed it already & that 100,000+ signatures could be gathered in a few days online, but we see that has not happened. I did & I dont live there.
This tells me that the CA wheelers/& other off road users in the state dont care or "its not my problem" until even more off roading areas they use are closed before they actually get involved personally.
CA users cant expect the other states off road users to do the work for them even though a ton of out of state users sign the petitions.

Taxes are going up
The government is more restrictive than ever on our freedoms
Gun owners are being turned into criminals by new laws
Navy seals who cry for help on American Soil are being left to die alone
Drones are spying on citizens
Healthcare costs have been rising at an accelerated rate and are on the cusp of skyrocketing
FEMA is recommending everyone prep
Good Jobs are hard to find
We all have families to focus on
The US is engaged in multiple foreign wars
Revolution is daily water cooler talk, and not taboo
Vets need more help than ever

wheeling is a money pit for all, hobby for most, lifestyle for a few, lively hood for very few.

Now what were you saying?

It's directly tied to the fact that many will spend thousands on lights, bumpers, bolt on's from quadratec etc... Yet they raise hell about having to pay $20 to get in a offroad park that the owner is probably losing money on anyway.

My thoughts on that exactly. I can't imagine living in a tinfoil house, wearing a tinfoil hat, and driving a tinfoil-covered car every day.

We were just having that discussion at work yesterday. One of the guy has a $70K truck, a $25K trailer, four $20K+ snowmobiles, $20K+ in gear and tools, and he was complaining about the state raising the cost of a trail permit $5 per year. Yes, FIVE DOLLARS PER YEAR and he was complaining. But it's fine to go to the bar and drink a whole pile of $5 beers every night.

I just don't get it sometimes.

I signed it a couple days ago, but you realize they changed the rules and you now need a 100k signatures to get a reaction, from the WH.

I read that this one was one of the last to get by with the 25K rule. I sure hope so. If we need 100K signatures, we are screwed.

Grandfathered at 25k. When I signed today said it only needs 9K+.
