Bulleit Bourbon vs. 1792

About to open one of these and have a taste. Opinions on them? Will drink 2 fingers w/ 2 rocks.

Fwiw I love knob creek and makers. Makers 46 is too woody and I didn't love woodford reserve when I tried it.

Try it again. Very different batch to batch. I've had awesome and not so awesome Woodford.

I have only tried it once on a flight. I almost tried it instead of the Bulleit. Will give it another shot.

Bulleit is pretty decent imo. My folks turned me on to it a few years back.

Bulleit is decent - I like the old-style bottle too.

If you like the regular Knob Creek, try the Single Barrel -- 120 proof
.

IMO with Bulliet you're buying a $20 bottle with $10 worth of bourbon in it.

If you want to try something different, try Booker's. It is very smooth considering it is over 120 proof. Some batches over 130.

I still have difficulty believing it is made by Beam.

For every day drinking, I really do enjoy Four Roses Small Batch.

I have had 4 fingers, and I like it. Fwiw all bourbon is American (Kentucky) made though Bulleit is owned by Diageo a huge English conglomerate.

Michter's small batch is now mine and my step-dads favorite. I prefer the whiskey and dad loves! the bourbon. Dad usually keeps Makers Mark but when the store has Michter's he'll clear the shelf. I told him they'll order a case if he wants. His response was i"I want some one else to feel the same heartbreak I felt when I saw the shelf was bare".

Sounds crazy as I am not a fan of anything beam. Will try knob single barrel. Pretty much I will try any bourbon and most American whiskeys.

I also love scotch, but they can be a costly habit.

After I drink 1/2 a bottle I am sure I would be loving it at least until the next morning

Ancient Ancient Age,it is ten year old. I live in Bourbon central, most would be much better if they were aged some. Instead they are made today and bottled next week. Triple A is the real thing.

Been through a few bottles of bulliet as of late. It's pretty good. We usually have at least one bottle of bourbon around and a few bottles of scotch. I went through a couple of bottles of Buffalo Trace not too long ago and we really liked it at its price point. Right now I'm working on a bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Barrel.
