Angry STOLEN Motorcycle & Gun - Las Vegas Area!

PBB - need your help!!

One of our regulars - jrou111 - was on a 5,000 mile trek across the country and stayed at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino last night. Upon waking up, he realized his motorcycle had been stolen. (I'm assuming here, based on his FB posts....) His carry weapon (which I assume was in the back compartment) went with it. Here are the specs:

2004 Yamaha FJR1300 (Had all the luggage on it still)

Kel-tec 380, serial # JYD41

Photo of the bike is below. PLEASE be on the lookout for this bike!!! Jrou111 is currently at the airport (presumably flying home to Alambama?) but will be checking his PMs as well as this thread as often as possible.

Help a brother out!

He's at a casino and they don't have any footage of it being stolen? Did he have an Ipad, phone or anything else in there that is pingable?

Edit: Get footage of it and post up, might be easier to find it based on the person in the footage rather than the bike.

I have zero details other than what I listed above. He just pinged me on FB and asked if I would create a thread for him.

I shot him a link to this thread, hopefully he'll weigh in ASAP.

Had a family friend have the same thing happen to him and his 2003? 2004? Big Dog motorcycle in either Vegas or Laughlin. They watched surveillance video and it showed some guy walking right up to the bike, putting a key in it and riding it off, never to be seen again.

An FJR1300 is kind of an odd bike to steal though...

I saw one of these in town a few weeks back. I thought it was pretty tasteful, and I liked that it's a bagger so you can actually carry something on it for trips that are farther than the local bar.

edit: no idea if that link will work or not.

If the face pic is good enough I would paste it all over the Internet. Someone would rat him out.

Well atleast your screen name and your posting styles match.

I had an 05 Big Dog Ridgeback that I rode for 4 years and didnt have one single problem with it. And mine was black. Let me guess, you read something on the internet about "what shitty bikes they are" and now you're the authority right?

Never said anything about them being unreliable. But since you brought it up. You didnt have any problems in your 100 miles/year of riding? Fucking amazing.

So you know how much I road it?

You should adopt this philosophy:

"Its better to keep quiet and let people think you're a fool, rather than to speak and remove all doubt"

Now, this isnt what this threads about.

Youre the stereotypical chopper cunt who thinks a FJR1300 isnt worth stealing. Go back to riding your Fag Dog Brokeback or whatever the fuck its called.

What kind of an idiot leaves a gun with a motorcycle? Hell, I even put the motorcycle in my motel room.

FJR is one of the best sport touring bikes ever made.. Guess the 1000 mile a year douchbag club doesn't have a fucking clue.

Ill keep an eye out and post it on the FJR facebook page.

I doubt the MGM Grand would let that slide.

Hell, most places don't if they find out about it

I just got off the first plane on my ride back home.

As far as the video, the hotel said that they were reviewing the footage but that it'd take a while.

This was my first time ever riding out west. I should have just stayed in Moab and rented a KTM for the rest of the week. I had 3 flats I had to repair in southern Utah and Arizona, as well as I had JUST gotten a new back tire to replace the multi-punctured rear in Flagstaff yesterday morning.

I hate the thieves.

It really sucks having your shit stolen.
Not only did you lose your shit, but ruined your vacation.
Sorry to hear it, I hope they find the scumbag.

Not trying to attack you. What was with leaving the gun on the bike?

I had ridden from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon, then route 66 from Williams AZ to Kingman, then got a pic at the Cali border near Needles. Then I booked it up to Vegas. It was way hotter and drier than this Bama boy is used to, and I had been on the bike for 14 hours when I got to the Grand at 11:30.

When I pulled in to the entrance, I told a valet that I needed to check in and asked her where I could leave the bike so I could get all my luggage up to my room. She told me that I couldn't leave it anywhere under there and that I needed to park it in the deck in the designated parking area for motorcycles.

I was pretty livid but also drenched in sweat and exhausted, so I grabbed what I could off the bike thinking I could go get the other stuff after I got up to the room. They put me in a room like a mile away and by the time I got to the room I took a shower and just crashed. I woke up at 8am and headed down stairs to the deck and much to my surprise the bike was not there anymore.

TLDR; 14 hours of riding in the desert and I completely forgot it was even with me.
