places to eat near orange beach?

Taking the family to Orange Beach, AL this next week. Any ideas on good places to eat would be appreciated.
  • Wife likes Italian
  • I like BBQ
  • kids like pizza
  • And we have to do seafood at least once
We have 7 days to try places - thanks for the help!

For seafood etc try
Shipp's Harbour Grill on canal rd Orange beach
Cobalts at the pass on beach hwy
quick drive through lunch try Bravo tacos blackened fish [email protected] and canal

I second cobalts, if you take the bridge from orange beach over to Perdido Key you have to make almost a U-turn back under the bridge on the bay side. I haven't been many other places mentioned, but there is a great pizza place just can't remember the name off it. I'm going to search I'll edit this if I find out.

Jack

Edit: Lillian's Pan Pizza, it's just a little passed cobalts and the flora-bama. I haven't been in a few years though may want to read some reviews. I remember it as being good though.

La BBQ a bit further up 59 is good. Better than down south IMO.

Mellow mushroom off 59 in foley for pizza. Decent beer selection.

Jesses in magnolia springs. Cold hole nearby for swimming.

Lulu's (spelling?) is good from what i remember

If I think of anything else ill post up.

Best two responses so far. They are both right next to each other. Cosmo's is a little more fancy than Doc's.

Well---a lot more fancy.

I always liked King Neptune's. It is on 59. It is a small seafood place.

Cosmos and Cobalts are owned by the same guy, both are nice with good food. I like lulu's, touristy but worth going, it;s on the ICW and you can watch the boats go by while you eat.

ACME oyster house in gulf shores is amazing. They grill oysters that they’ve shucked right in front of you. It’s just a really nice place.

Go to Sea-N-Suds. Make sure you order the gumbo appetizer.

Fisherman's Corner on the east side of Perdido Key. Hands down the best food I've found anywhere near Orange Beach. Very casual and laid back, just call for reservations.

I am not sure about the all you can eat but you might want to try Cobalt's, Cosmo's and if you have kids GT's on the bay is good. Hazel's in Orange beach is now a Mexican restaurant. At Rouse's and Publix you can buy them by the pound and they will steam them for you. Just take them back to your place and eat, that's what we usually do.

I have ate at amlost every restaurant mentioned in this thread. Hazels was getting a little gross last few years. Last visit there was some liquid dripping from the ceiling onto our table. we decided we were not going back. Ill check out Rouses and the Publix but usually we get take home stuff from Lartigue's. Those Aregentia Reds taste like lobster.

Any good fishing spots youd like to share. We hang out at the peir, the bama point, and just the regular beach in front of the condo. Got a charter out of hudson marina. Hope we limit out on red snaps and some vermilion. Im gonna double hook drop shot a fluke and chunk of squid and see what happens. Last time the baracuda and cobia were crazy but we werent the ones catching them ...deck hands clubbed them like baby seals, blood splatered all over the deck, good times.

Fin and Fork is really good.

3 day of eating shrimp and fish at every meal and I can choke anyone out with farts. Gaged a little old lady at a surf style. Me and the kids laughed about it all day.
