The Pixar Theory

My kid showed me this the other day. It's a long read, and it's kinda crazy, but it is obvious that someone has too much free time. Lol

I didn't think it was such a secret. Watch any of them and you'll see references and tie ins to other movies. I think it's no different than AMC having blue meth appear on walking dead. Those little things are often referred to as Easter eggs. That guy is just reading way too much into it.

There was blue meth in TWD?

Yes. Its like art critics trying to get in the head of the artist.

Most times, we drew it that way cause it "looks good".

Yup, Daryl pulls his brother's meds out of his saddle bags and it's a zip lock bag with pill bottles and blue meth. I'd post a pic but I'm on my phone.

It's like that in most movies I think. Kinda like how they show subtitle hints through a movie of things that'll happen or show up later on in the movie as well.

They've been putting easter eggs into video games, movies and all sorts of electronic entertainment for years. I can see some of the ties, but this guy is taking it to a whole other level. There's also the very big question of pixar thinking that far ahead to tie everything together. Toy Story was in production 20 years ago, and this guy wants me to believe every movie they've made in the past two decades are all part of one long extended story line?

That was my thought too, but I'll be damned if it doesn't make some kind of sense.

I highly doubt that this supposed extended story line was contrived 20 years ago. They may have said "It'd be cool to find a way to tie all of our movies together", but I highly doubt they had the story line in place.

When you have a bunch of seemingly disjointed movies, it's probably easier to "make up" that story line along the way than you think since you don't need to tightly weave the stories together. Just enough references to allude to what happened and the stage is set for these theories.

It takes 4-7 years to make a Pixar film. So you figure that if they release one movie a year, they are probably making 4-7 movies all at various stages of production -- more than enough to "tie" things together.

Is this like the whole The walrus is Paul and the walrus is dead thing about Beatles?

This isn't a new concept.

I was hoping you could shed some insight into just how much pot that dude must have smoked to come up with that whole theory!
