the reason for the ad is because YouTube doesn't know what a running 6.0 is. Ad I saw was my little pony.

Now back to my 6.0 experiences. The 03 I used to drive blew intercooler hoses off regularly with just a tune, open element filter and cat back. Once I clamped the shit out of them, I blew the ends off 2 oem intercoolers. Something to think about.

Oh, and you did all that work to a truck with roll up windows? Wtf?
1. You fawker!!! If you jinxed me into blowing up the charge air cooler, I will fawking pawn your wheelchair to buy another one!!!

2. I really do like the truck. Driving it, even just the little bit I did today, was like wearing an old pair of comfortable boots.

2-A. This project is far, far, far from done. I've got to wait until the big money comes back, (Oil closed at over $45 a barrel today!) and the wife's sanity to return to normal levels.

This truck, through all of it's evolutions, will be my ride or die, until I die.

On my dad's 6.doh, he blew the end off the return pipe to the turbo at the turbo. Left what looks like an inverse hail dent on his hood. He tows a heavier trailer than I do and probably goes up a hill a little faster, but all in all, pretty damn happy with my 99 7.3

It's about damn time! Glad its running, Im sure Mrs. CG is too. The 6.0 trucks I've had problems with in the past blowing CAC tubes off was from over tightening the clamps and ovaling the tubes. What I've done to fix them and make them hold better is to take a pair of pliers and work a lip, or flare into the end of the tube instead of the dimple that Ford made. It makes it tough to get the hose started over it at first, but once you get it on there you don't have to tighten the clamps so much and the hoses will stay.

Do that in the morning, and load the hot tune in it and hurry up with the unicorn tire burnout vids!

1. Hahahahaha! just wanted to give you a heads up. At the time only one company made an all aluminum intercooler and they were our competitor on certain products so I wasn't allowed to get one. Good luck!

2. Glad to hear it. I found my old 6.0 on clist this week and wished I could buy it and jump behind the wheel even though it had a habit of blowing up.

2A. All custom projects require tuning. You are fresh out of the box, their will be issues.

Are the 3 Christmas trees to cover the smell of the shit bomb that exploded in the cab or to cover the smell of 350 lbs sweating off fried chicken and sweet tea?

If the CAC clamps and/or hoses were new they need a retorque after running for a bit. None of my trucks have had huge boost but I used brake cleaner to put the tubes on.
Clean all the old oil off the CAC inlet tubes and the inside of the hoses then the brake cleaner will make them really slippery to assemble easily then when it evaporates they stay on.
