I'll take the bite as being wrong on Ford making the 6.4. Still doesn't make them any less a pile of shit.

Both stock and tuned. Earliest 6.7 failure I saw was 15K and was brought to me because it was a sunday and he needed it to get to work monday. Ford gave him the run around of dirty fuel caused the glowplug to break and seize the engine. I advised the guy to threaten lawyer and media. Magically they changed their minds and gave him a new engine. 6.4s I've seen mainly in the 60k range before issues.

Own a couple of them myself and would buy another although I personally prefer the older 7.3s as in an IDI.

I guess the 6.4 does not use D.E.F. but rather a D.P.F.
How long til your next re-gen?

You know what they say, "everytime a 6.4 regens, a dead 6.0 earns its wings"

I'm guessing that relates to the 6.4 re-gens often?

Mine started to regen every time I drove it. That's why I tuned and deleted it.

Apparently your knowledge on both engines runs deep, you must have popped into the thread to offer a hand troubleshooting the OG problem.

I happy to see your horse still rides plenty high though.

Because the 6.0 build tech thread has proven that after $17,000 and counting the 6.0 are such a great way to go with???

Let's not forget the small details of the thread, like who started it. Was anyone really expecting a different outcome?
I have little doubt that one day the truck will run again, & the cost/difficulty to do so is no surprise.

No, your engine is Schrödinger's cat at this point, it's both simultaneously alive and dead because we can't know either way.

It's like the Craigslist "Running when parked."
