hey it put on a good show anyways. i feel like the exposure for 4600 was better this year substantially.

This would be so much more fun if folks understood how shit works. You can run anything in any class that you can sneak past tech. The legality of being in that class only comes into play if it wins and a fellow competitor who feels it is not correctly in class throws a red card.

The goal of putting the JT in the class was to garner attention, (here you are talking about it, so it is doing that well so far), finish, (it has done that) and garner more attention.

At the end of the day, no other OEM manufacturer will be able to say they did a build, tossed it in the race in JV for the EMC and walked away with a favorable result from two of the more well known racers out there in this sport.

Like it, hate it, bitch about it, pick the ratshit out of the coffee grounds until you go blind, that won't change what happened.

If only. I'm not sure KOH is quite mainstream enough for the recognition but if they do make it, I'll be at the dealer fetching up a few badges. Just too fun not to.

full kudos and what-not, i think it was impressive to watch. did significantly better than i expected it to do on the small tires.

that said, running something that would obviously fail a red card just because is kind of silly. Hell, how would that look going forward if ***hypothetical here*** the gladiator takes first, the roxor takes 2nd and a cherocar with a BBC and 900hp takes 3rd? the entire podium red-carded? fuck that would be stupid to watch. granted that didn't happen, as far as i know nobody got carded, jeep and mahindra both put in advance notice and both were green lit before the race, etc.

hell, this is again something that could have been bad ass if it had run in modified with a bigger tire and no trail bypasses, but it wouldn't have the same marketing pull as "stock class"

90% of JK owners only know that 'rubicon' is a badge on the side of jeeps gotta start somewhere, just a couple local dealerships would be damn awesome

Had I been asked and I wasn't, my immediate response about putting the JT in the EMC would have been- "You wanna do what?" What the fuck is wrong with you? Clearly I am not a man of vision.

It just occurred to me that based on knowing that Jeep really wants as big of a chunk of the "aftermarket" as they can get, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a Hammers Edition package with some big axles, 35's, and some badging. Purely shooting from the hip, but I wouldn't say it was impossible. They spent some bucks on marketing, be interesting to see what they do with it.

edit- also makes it "affordable" when you can roll all that shit into the financing at the dealer.

Talking with the Roxor people at KOH while they removed a crank pulley off the second roxor on site.. If I recall correctly they said they have only sold about 900 in the US thus far.

I'm all for both the JT and Roxor, this gives KOH, the sport and the vehicles much needed publicity and attention.

If you were racing a tried and proven shook down 4600 car, an entry by even Jessie in a quickly finished vehicle should be a non issue as proven by who won.
