I remember when we were advised of our second evacuation, watching the planes and helicopters come in and just drown the fire! It never made it over the ridge to our house!

And you ground crew have it really rough out here - hillside, steep terrain, and rocky mountains! We are grateful to all you!

now theres a fire on cobb where my shop is and its being evacuated

ive got thousands of dollars of tools and parts there and my buggy hauler i just took up there yesterday

Looks to be a bad one. Lots of houses in the area. I'm stuck at work, luckily I had my wife pack things this morning. Not sure if it will make it to Salmina valley or not. Hope to have a house tomorrow.

Valley Fire (Cobb) has exploded already. Got 2 family friends both with houses on Cobb Mtn.

Reports are 10,000 acres already.

Oh hell, not enough resources for two fires like that. I thought it was bad when I got hired in 1979. Never saw fires like this while I was on the fireline.
