I thought it showed a serious set of balls on the doc's part. She KNEW she had deficiencies. She KNEW her weaknesses. Still, she set out with a plan that was 100% past her comfort zone, and aside from a sniper bolt through the eye, she pretty much executed her plan to a T.

Her words were also a wake-up call to the other two to remember they are ALIVE.

Zombie killing is cool and all, but I like some depth to my stories, and stuff like this is where you get some depth.
That was a good scene. Kind of reminded them that if they get complacent they get dead. I also thought it was a dick move that the guy said he wasn't aiming at her. I think daryl goes on the warpath with against them.

I'm thinking that they are a small splinter group and not part of neegan

I thought it was a good scene as well. In fact, didn't she say pretty much what DRM said... that she picked them for a reason?

I'm thinking the crossbow guy is from Neegan's clan and whatever happen to his face was a result of him.

Had Daryl stuck to his gut they would have taken the road back and this never would have happen. Train tracks lead to bad things in this world..

The blonde guy was from the burning forest in the beginning of this season. didn't he and his sister take off on daryl's bike and take his crossbow? I thought they were running from neegan. Or am i thinking of the wrong guy.

I think all of this is correct.

Nope that is him. They are the ones that he was talking about saving with Carol, where he said he should have killed them.

He only went back and helped them because they had insulin or something medical if I recall.

That's what I am thinking. He and girl were trying to escape Neegan because they use to be apart of his group and did't want to give everything they had to him... at least that's how I understood it. Now, it could be a coincidence, but for Neegan's group to end up with they bike they stole AND for him to still be around where Neegan's people are known to be seems unlikely. If he was running from Neegan you would figure he would be long gone..

Yup.

The wife is Johnny on the spot with who different people are, as soon as they showed the burned guy she knew exactly who he was. Comes in handy seeing as I have a hard enough time keeping who's in Alexandria straight.

Dwight's burns were fresh since his last appearance. Punishment of some sort?

I was thinking it was from when Daryl blew up the biker group, but that doesn't really fit.

I don't think you are talking about me here, right? I'm pretty sure I nailed what was going on. The Dr was trying to be strong, got some confidence, which gave us confidence in her, then she died. Creating an emotional tie to her, since she was developing as a character right before our eyes.
As for who the ambush group is tied to, it looked to me like they were from negan. Doing recon. The war is coming, and is going to be bloody.

The only question I have is, "Did Daryl save the can of Orange Crush?".

Great episode. I lost some nails watching it.

I did find it awfully strange that none of those guys with guns were able to hit Rosita or Daryl while just being a couple feet away and right out in the open. Just blind luck that both of them were able to get to cover.

Or much wildlife. At this point you'd think you'd see deer at the very least...and hear coyotes.

I would image they have been hunted to near extinction within reasonable distance of any "community"

I'd think the opposite. Humans are deer's main predator right now. Remove 99.999% of us, and the deer population would explode, at least until the natural predators caught up.

This past season I found that walking after deer was so effective, I didn't even bother bringing my gun.
