Any car is capable of going slowly.

Decent drivers on stock factory tires are running low 11s in hellcats.

A stock C7 will run a 12.2.

So while the drivers in your area apparently suck balls, that doesn't make your car faster than a hellcat.
If they are running 11s in hellcats then they are running high 11s or 12s in Denver. Altitude does matter.

So at that point, just build/buy a tube chassis purpose built car for... insert use here (qtr mile, "Texas Mile" type events, Silver State Classic type events, Auto-X/Road course), trailer it to and from the track (Don't even bother with regging/insurance/emissions/etc..), and have a vehicle that is light years ahead of any production car chassis performance wise.

I mean if you don't need or are unwilling to use it as an actual street car (for whatever reason)... why jump through all those extra hoops?

Again, no hate at all intended, just struggling to wrap my mind around this...
It all depends on what you want to do. i don't DD my car, but I don't just keep it under a cover in the garage either. I've put just over 3,000 miles on it in a little over 10 months. In relation, I've put 15k on my dodge p/u in the same time period.

Quickest I saw the Hellcat Chally go on tires was 11.8. Quickest I saw the Hellcat Charger go (on NT-05R, same D/R I'm running) 12.2. They were both un-runnable on street tires, I watched them try several different nights clocking 13.5 @120mph on radials Not sure how they come up with those numbers on radials because even on a well prepped track surface, it wasn't happening.... Unless two separate drivers of these things over the course of 3-4 weeks just simply suck at driving their cars????

Also our effective DA most of the summer here was WELL over 8000ft with the very high heat (90's persisting even into 8-9pm) I remember one night in specific guy next to me in the pits had a calculator and calculated 9600ft!! Keep in mind the correction table only even goes to 5800. Laugh all you want about the altitude jokes, it's a huge factor.

True, but I'm talking corrected times since that's what Flexy is always using.

And corrected or not, they are faster cars than his "vert."

I love my Z06 with the Z07 package.

And with 650hp, there's not much factory that can touch it.

Ran 10.82 on stock tires.

The times I mentioned most recently in this thread were not corrected...

edit: LOTS of stuff is faster than my 'vert (and should be). It's a bolt on stock suspended car, does well for what it is but that's all it is, never claimed it was supercar worthy

No reason to mess with an LS on anything that came with a 32V modular.

So previously all the times you posted were corrected, but now you're posting uncorrected times against my near sea level times...

Raced and beat dozens of C7s....bullshit. Pretty soon you'll be beating top fuel dragsters.

I am trying to figure out how C7's - Basically the Stingray, came into this, when the OP asked about Z06s. Entirely different class of HP, brake and tires.

Motor trend; Viper GTS vs. Vette ZR1

Doesn't really make a case for the Viper in this scenario but I think pretty accurate IMO. I'm still going with the Viper

Lol. So pretty much every tick went to the ZR1. Plus with the magnetic ride control suspension you can drive it cross country if you want without a kidney belt. They also didn't mention that the ZR1 gets slightly better gas mileage (albeit, not much), but has a 20 gallon tank vs. the Viper's 16 gallon tank.

Plus, the ZR1 will be cheaper to fix and maintain (with the exception of the carbon ceramic brakes).

The Viper is a track day car to hone your skills on. The ZR1 is a car to take out and drive the wheels off of.

You are mixing up and confusing several things. I can't help you there !!!!

oh look a PROCHARGED (know wat that means, right?? ) one only runs 11.2 here

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5C6TP7J1qM

OH LOOK, a STOCK C7 @ BANDIMERE running 13.3, just like I said, and no this aint my video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZfXzjxLpuw

My car runs 13.0 on street rubber, 12.5 on tire. Yes, I've beat DOZENS of C7's, so eat it homo

Should I post the Viper running 15's or will that make the "supercar" fans cry????

They are the same chassis/car, just different trim lines. They are the same

No, because you are a blithering moron I guess??

double eidt: NEVER suggested how great mustangs are let alone my old s197. Look back, I said buy a s550 (15+), with IRS, and mod that. I thought you were one of the better comprehend-ers, maybe not. I did not even mention -my- car and even made a specific point NOT to until someone threw me under the bus (as usual)

You fuckers will argue over any damn thing. Some of you need to go change your tampon.

Everyone's opinion of what a super car is to "them" is correct. Fuck if someone truly likes a fucking Pinto or Vega...then to them, that's their super car.

Personally, I'd like to have a Pantera. Now is that a super car? To many, no...but it's what I'd like.

Hey, lets argue over the viscosity of a worm...
