Apparently 58 didn't fair any better.

I-5, Hwy 58 among freeways closed from mud, flooding | Local & Regional News | Bakersfield Now - News, Weather and Sports

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Drivers were stranded on Interstate 5 over the Grapevine and Highway 58 in the Mojave area Thursday night after a rare tropical downpour resulted in severe mudslides and flooding.
People remain stranded on 58 and southbound I-5, though the California Highway Patrol says motorists have been cleared from northbound I-5.

The CHP says Highway 14 in Mojave is also closed. Caltrans says westbound Highway 166 is closed at Highway 33.

The CHP offered the following detour information for I-5:

-- To get back onto northbound I-5, take Highway 126 west, Highway 101 north and Highway 166 east.

-- To get around the southbound I-5 closure, take Highway 41 or Hwy. 166 west to southbound 101.

The CHP says there aren't any viable detours for the Hwy. 58 and 14 closures.

One driver estimated there were 200 drivers stuck on Hwy. 58.

The CHP is reporting northbound I-5 over the Grapevine could be closed at Parker Road for 24 hours because of damage from the storm. The southbound side of I-5 could be closed at Grapevine Road, also until late Friday.

The CHP reports there were three mudslides on the northbound side of the interstate, and two more on the southbound side.

"It was a downpour, everybody just trying to scatter," I-5 driver Emmanuel Ortega said. "Everybody just started slowing down to 2 miles an hour, and everything came to a screeching halt."

Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Miles Muzio said more than an inch of rain fell in the Kern County mountains. But, he said the rainfall rate was really responsible for the damage Thursday.

The storm was through the area by around 7 p.m.

More than 2 inches of rain fell in Lamont, according to Muzio. The CHP reported flooding in Arvin and Lamont.

Eyewitness News has also received reports of flooded spots on Bakersfield roads.

This is PBB chit chat. You may have to explain it 5 or 6 times. Then you have to explain it to Narrock and g-wizz

I think I need a PSA. Sometimes I have to go really really bad but when I try to go nothing comes out for about ten seconds, and even then it's a trickle. I can force it and get the flow to almost what it was in my virile youth, but not by much.

Not a drop! the cities and caltrans make sure it all goes to concrete pipes.... then to concrete lined channels... and then straight out to sea without ANY chance it can soak in and recharge the groundwater basins.

Almost none. It rained on some reservoirs. However, it was negated by all of So Cal watering their lawns in spite of the rain falling.

Actually, I have been around longer than you, and around people on shore more than you. And not around radiation. Subtracting your time afloat, my time spent alive exceeds yours substantially. I do not know of anyone, not a single person that has any idea what a PSA is. Maybe my Physician. Maybe a former pilot of Pacific Southwest Airlines. So, I think you have spent too much time with your head up Trampas' ass.

Responding at a relevant level, a diminished one fit for you, your age and IQ, go google it, since that is about a handfull for you. It is your generation's new God and master. What it brings up, once again, is relevant to you.

Prostate Specific Antigen

That's for you good buddy, when your up there looking around.

How'd I do ???

Let me google that for you

Speaking of that Land Rover...looks like he got tired of waiting and left. He was between the white van and the yellow car carrier.
