Well Jacob is back. He's sent me an updated main shaft. Just got it today, haven't even opened the box yet. He's trying to right his wrongs and start the business back up. I hope he's able to stay straight this time!

I thought he got bought out by NWF, and was going to work for them as a designer?

I wish him luck, but he's got a steep hill to climb...

I haven't heard anything about that. I know he was lookin to sell but that's all I knew. I talked to NWF a few months ago about building a shaft for me. We talked about Jacob and they didn't mention it.

Dude better plan on hiring someone to run the phone and keep track of orders. Jacob just needs to stick to the machining and producing a quality product and maybe hire a helper or two.

If he can get his shit together I'd still be interested in his stuff.

Introducing the new Colossus case for NP205 gears.

Can be passenger side drop or driver by flipping front section
Can also bolt to Ford or Chevy transmission in a drop box position. Twin Stick ready. Has shifter interlocks to prevent axles being in different ratios. Can fit JB Conversions Low Max NP205 gears, or stock NP205 gears.

Loaded with stock NP205 gears, no oil or yokes, the NP205 Colossus weighs in at 109 pounds.

The Colossus can be bolted to nearly any domestic transmission. Some transmissions may require an adapter. Using our Strong Box as an adapter makes the Colossus bolt to even more transmissions. A Strong Box bolted to the Colossus will also give you a 4 speed transfer case assembly.

Rowdy Fitzgerald - you did actually get your parts from Jacob? I've been sitting on half of a shorty strongbox for a couple years now. I've been in touch with him, and he's promised to make it right, but it's been several months. I'd obviously prefer to get the parts I already paid for, but I also don't want to wait forever for something that's not going to materialize.

He is around, I emailed him a question about my 300 flip kit I bought a few years back and he responded same day. His website shows new products as well so he must still be in business.

I talked to him a month or two ago and he messaged me on fb today so he must have seen your posts on here. He told me he would send me a replacement box last time I talked to him but it hasn't arrived yet. He said he knows whats wrong with mine and to call him. I'm going to call in about 5 min.

@Rowdy_fitzgerald - I think I'm missing a piece of this story. So Jacob sent you an updated mainshaft back in January, but then there was a problem with it? What was the outcome after you called him a couple weeks ago?

Thanks,
JHA

Fuck Bohemoth and Jacob. I got screwed a couple years back when he attempted to play the "rob Peter to pay Paul" bullshit. Had to dispute through PayPal, got wrong parts I had to modify to make work, waited almost a year for most of the shit. Fuck him and anyone associated with them. Fuck em!

Interesting..... He has some pretty cool ideas. Kind of curious how the splined 205 gear holds up on his shorty strongbox. DIY pricing plus NP271/273 cluster acceptance is intriguing...(staring at useless NP273 on garage floor). If only the looming reputation wasn't so pungent still...

He sent me the updated main shaft but the box still makes a horrible noise and pukes the lube out the vent. New gears, new bearings and new shaft, still can't drive it on the road.
When I last talked to him 2 weeks ago he said he was going to send me a new box minus gears and main shaft when he gets the new batch of boxes done. He expectes to have them done next week.

I mean, you've got to know that anyone searching for reviews is going to see all this shit. He may as well pack it in at this point. It's too bad, because someone offering those products that has their shit together would probably be very successful.

I am one of the few that actually has a complete, working strong box. It's a great piece of equipment and I have enjoyed using it. But like others before me, I feel that I am one of the very lucky few. It is a great product and in the right hands would be a money making machine!

I feel like everyone else. Pretty sad to be selling new stuff when you screwed over a lot of guys. Nwf eco box I think is a huge seller and I think that if they offered a few more of the products jacob offers they'd make even more money. The shorty 205 kit is really cool..... if it even exist.

I actualpy recieved a box. It kinda works. I cant go over 45mph or it starts chattering and pukes the oil out. I stripped the synchro teeth of one shift collar due to it not alighning properly. He sent me a new main shaft but it didn't fix the chattering. I'm stuck with a box that works but only under 45mph for my street legal crawler.
