7.5 possibly (saw a 7.5HP 1/3 phase 240V/480V motor this week on a HEAVY commercial cutoff saw (think 3 x 3 x 1/4" tube legs/frame)). That would take your arm off without even thinking about it.

Not sure how you tell the difference, i know nothing about electrical. The motor says 220/440 on it if that helps any.

The reason its in pieces is its very heavy. If i put it all back together i dont know if ill have any way to lift it into anyoneís truck/trailer. Engine hoist maybe but might might not go high enough

I just dread selling anything online, havent done it in a while and just remember all the hassle of the past and dealing with idiots

Took my BMW out for the first time since Sept when I wrecked it. It has seen some 'mods' in the rebuild. Could not really get into it bc the new control arms require an alignment, but lets just say that 0-85 is insane.

Thing is a rocket ship. Really need to get it finished, and fig out the check engine light (think I need to reset injectors)

But holy hell does it scoot.

The tag on the motor will tell you which phase it is.

Maybe I'm just blessed with cheap machinery here on the east coast but all those number sound about twice as high as they should be.

Untrue. There was a grain bin fan, 15hp, on single phase back on the farm 40 years ago. Dedicated 60A breaker and 240v wiring, IIRC. Bunch of 5hp, and a couple of 10hp motors as well, IIRC. Nothing on the bins was 3 phase.

I've only ever seen up to 7.5, dunno why anything beyond is just about nonexistant.

90% sure there is no single phase 440V, so that HI/LO 220/440 is three phase.

2 legs of 460 is 460 single phase

I hate replacing axle seals. $5 for the seal, and another $75 to replace perfectly good bearings. What a waste.

That's right, carrier had a 460 1 phase 1 hp small frame motor in a bunch of equipment at one of my old facilities.

This is what happens when you go into management, you forget the basics and all your time is spent on HR bullshit.

Ah okay, pretty similar where the software is the huge bottleneck
EGR coke up the intake on those?
Injection hardware have plenty headroom?

On the VWs of the age I'm into it's pretty similar except there's no HP headroom in the stock turbo and injection hardware, plenty of lower end torque and economy available through software though

Gotta love 'maximum developed' horsepower ratings.

Yeah it'll do 10 HP. For the 2 seconds before it turns into a puddle of molten copper and some carbon brush remnants.

It's Vinyl plank that was glued down.

Glue down vinyl plank uses a pressure sensitive adhesive!!! Peel up the bad pieces and replace!!! Heat gun can make it easier!!!

They both look good, and it's no more or less in 4wd. I was gonna do the track bar bushings last night but the parts store brought in clearly used parts. One was cut in half and the sleeves were damn near serrated inside. So maybe I'll try again tonight.
