More random, I get a company phone so I will have 2 phones with me all the time now also got a whole bunch of keys for all the boats and doors. Having this much responsibility is foreign to me. Most I've ever been given from my past jobs is a welding hood and a stinger.

Go find an airport and look for a pile of dented drums. We always have a stack that aren't in good enough shape for jet fuel but don't leak.

Buy a school bus. Cut a hole in the side. Put IBC totes in school bus through the hole.

Viola. Stored safely.

I sat down today and figured out where to log in to their crap version then it let me exit it. I've done it numerous times but for some reason this time it logged me out and made it more convoluted to get back.

Probably won't be open when we leave in the AM. But did have some good food over at a total dive by the airport. E and O kitchen, a mexican restraunt. And the La Posada hotel is pretty nice for what it is. A bit dated for the price and well, restored by a bunch of liberal do gooders with government money, but whatever. At least they didn't let it get bulldozed.

No, just the flatbed truck parked in front of the wall and statues with the banner for the celebration in september.

Busted a valve that was 3ft underground last night. It was just a 3/4” pipe going to a single sprinkler. In digging it up I “found” the big 2” feeding the back of the property.

Is it just me or is that a dinosaur skull or a plastic bag of connectors?

My wife painted one of my sons fingernails blue. I'm 99% sure she did it just to get a reaction out of me. I'm going to compleatly ignore it and see how long it takes her to point it out to me

Interviewed for a potential transfer opportunity at work today.

Wasn't overly thrilled with the job before the interview and then i found out the worst manager i've ever had i'd have to work with on occasion. That made it a 100% Nope.

Had to go thru the motions for the hour interview and told him at the end when he asked if i had any hesitations that i wasn't sure about the position to try and hint it wasn't the position for me.

There was another position my boss had been contacted about for me that would once again have me working with this guy. He's shutting that one down for me. Wasn't my ideal type of job either.

Trying to get away from the manufacturing side of the business which both of the jobs above are and more towards the field service side of it.

Spoke with an old contact this evening about opportunities in his group, sounds like there is a position for more of an automation/product development type role and get me back involved with the field service side. Downside is it may be a few months before anything came about it and there is no guarantee it all works out anyhow so not sure i want to wait months for something that may or may not come to fruition.

My birthday was yesterday and I have a standing order for german chocolate cake every year. The only time I eat cake. My Mom always made one for my birthday when I was a kid.
ll occasionally eat a coconut cream pie at my favorite Cafe up the road. But rarely cake.

My dear wife decides to start baking my cake at 6PM last night.

It was almost midnight before it was done enough where I could eat some.

At least I got to eat german chocolate cake on my birthday.

She hates them because she won't eat nuts or coconut. And I have to eat the entire cake myself. A 4 inch round pan cake instead of a 9 inch round cake would be great. Think I'll shop for some small cake pans for next year. I made them in cupcakes one year for myself. Not the same!

The last few years I've had to go out and buy one at Costco or Sams. Yuck!

Got enough cake for next year now.

Thanks, I guess!

I spent part of my childhood growing up in Puerto Rico and got good at climbing coconut trees. Always loved the taste of coconut and my brothers didn't care that much for it. Mom liked coconut too, so it was our little thing we had between us. I got to eat more of my cake that way.

PR is a cool place to live when you're 10,11 and 12. I lived on the beach when I wasn't in school. It was about 100 yards from our front door. Just had to go down this 200' cliff to get to it.

Tough to get that call at work with him screaming in the background.

We ended up at Children's in Minneapolis and that place is amazing. Put him under to set the bone and put his cast on and we were out of there later that evening. He was trying to crawl by the end of the week . I have three boys 7, 4, and 2. We have hit our big ass deductible 7 years straight

One thing about being in a hospital like that is the perspective you get
