Well the extraction went easier than expected. Turns out that tooth did not in fact have a root canal as i thought. I had the tooth pulled at the periodontist where my wife works, it was a little weird having her assist! I only required one stitch so it looks like soup for me for dinner, I bought some pudding for dessert

Toothaches usually start with some kind of infection.

I am sorry for your loss.
I'm not a big cat person either but it's never easy putting a pet down.

Well, I got the job and an unexpected ~10% raise. Signed the paperwork yesterday. Now I can't sleep because of all the work I know I am behind on and completion deadlines are looming. Ugh.

Trying to help the wife's best friend get her shit sorted after this yesterday...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-44469375

She lives less than 30ft from the scrap yard and her house (rented) was engulfed in smoke all day. Due to the risk of explosion she wasn't allowed near the house all day. The fire crew escorted her in about 5pm last night to let her get her cats and dogs (all sooty but otherwise unharmed) She's looking at 100% loss of her stuff due to smoke/asbestos contamination and water damage from the fire crew damping the house.

The fire crew are still there today trying to keep it damped down while it all cools

I updated this at 3:30 Pacific time this am, but whatever fuckery the snowbacks have going on disappeared it.

Any way, I got the job and an unexpected~10% raise. Now I am stressing about all my looming deadlines, hence being up from 2am to 4am with a wandering brain. Ugh.

I'm getting close to slow time at work which means 40 hours a week until mid-October. I'm going to try and pick up an extra class for the next two semesters. I know the first three weeks of this semester will suck because I will still be working ~70 hours a week, but then it will be OK for awhile. This will allow me to graduate in May of 2019.

I am beyond excited to graduate. I never thought that this would be me. I barely graduated HS. I've got a 3.8 GPA while averaging 60 hours a week at work. I go to school online while the brick and mortar campus is about 6 hours away, I don't think I'll travel up there to walk as I don't know anybody in my class and haven't really gotten to know any of my professors. But... I want to do something to celebrate my accomplishment... not sure if it will be just a party or a hunting trip... but it's a big deal for me. One more year...
I was in the same place, gave no fucks about walking, sold my tickets for $100 and bought a keg and had a party at the house.

So my wife and daughter decided to surprise me with going to the Budweiser factory tour. Got to the exit and they realized they need closed toe shoes, they are both wearing sandals....tour starts at 2.
