It's not about the truck. It's about the dickbag going out of his way to ding it.

yeah its half the reason i drive a old shitty chevy its so stress free not to have to worry about door dings. i usually take that spot where the guy parked on the line that no one else wants to park in. in a perfect world it would be nice to just open your door and smack him back and call it even

i lived in a apartment complex for 1.5 years. the old k5 blazer i had for that time was nothing but door dings and nicks from other people

the biggest problem i have is people are always bumping into my mirrors. always find myself having to re-adjust them after coming out of a store

I want to see pics of the parking spots at 7' wide. My daily driver is 8'5" and I don't ever remember a parking space 1'5" to narrow. Maybe 8' but defiantly not 7' and not at a strip mall.

They are large enough for a 2015 4 door short bed Silverado. Little tight. But not that bad. the parking spots at save mart up the road a few miles are tighter between the lines.

My bet is somebody was about to get out of their car, and somebody jammed their truck into the next spot instead of waiting for the driver of the other vehicle to get out first. I get it. 1/2 hour lunch for some. No time for patience.

I googled the place+parking and this came up lol

I've had a few Sandwich Spots bookmarked for quite awhile, but the threat of having to parallel park on the street kept me away. To the glee of my grumbling tummy, Power Inn is equipped with spacious parking spaces.

My boot to tape measurements were off. They are less than 8 feet which is city minimum for compact spots.

Oh man. So this is what you were talking about

I almost stopped at squeeze inn for lunch but I'll be damned if I was gonna try and park there in my truck.

You care way too much about this.

You had 2 options:
1) Stop the dude and start a parking lot brawl
2) Said Meh and moved on

*Please Note, No where did I say pretend to be a city inspector about the narrow spots.

Now here is some rocket science for you:
If there are narrow spots with cars on both sides and you don't want door dings, don't park in a narrow spot next to cars....

Narrow spots. You'll see they are super shallow too. Turning from one side of the aisle at full lock won't get my truck into a spot with cars on either side.

1: None of his pictures show that the space is measured properly

1. You can't read the tape if I get both edges of the spot in the pic.
2. Oh well, I tried to get more detailed pics.
3. Topper went back on this morning in preparation for the drive across country. I was keeping it at work.

In this satellite photo from google maps, I was in the spot occupied by the white suv with the sunroof, directly across from the driveway. You can see in this satellite view that multiple large vehicles have trouble parking there. The guy that hit my door was not parked straight with his Dodge Ram himself, but he was skewed to the right side of his spot. The spots I measured are in the upper left of the satellite view.

That's because you drive a fucking turd with the turning radius of a Greyhound bus with a flat steer tire. I drove a truck almost identical to yours for over 10 years, and those fuckers aren't meant for tight turning. Sometime you may even have to back up *gasp* to get lined up properly with a spot.
