Flat Fender Support for Newbie

Let me know if there is a better place than GCC for this...

Not sure how to start this story and I am admittedly short on details for now so here goes. My good friend has a son (17 yo) who recently bought an old willys jeep for his first vehicle. He (the son) currently lives in CA (S. LA area) and his dad and I live in the Midwest. I have had the opportunity to hang out with him on several occasions, including KOH 2016 and he's truly a good kid. The problem is that he doesn't have any background in auto mechanics and his purchase has some gremlins that need sorted out. As you may imagine, it is difficult for his dad and me to support him from here.

I'm not one to think that sob stories are worth anything so I'll spare you on that. Here are my questions:

1. What local LA groups could/should he look into that are a good community for someone just getting started in wheeling?
2. Are there specific forums/threads he should read up on regarding willys charging/starting systems? (re forums, of course we recommended Pirate )

Admittedly, I don't know much about the specifics (his exact location or specific electrical issue), but if you could guide in the right direction, that would be much obliged.

Just looking for advice to help him along his journey.

Edit based on Short Change's reply: Of course I didn't do any google'n. That's too easy.
