Like I posted previously; you did fine. You had your son with you. Get away, flee, disengage as quickly as possible, distance yourself from the asshole.

If the district attorney's office has a "victim/witness" program like in California, get them to pay for your damage.

For anyone needing to stop for fuel passing through Albuquerque, south side of Albuquerque, on 25 take exit 215 south, (State Hwy 47, Broadway), just a little off the highway, on the Rez is 2 nice gas stations. Isleta Travel station. West station makes really good breakfast burritos. Gas and Diesel, NICE RV park for the night

I-40, west side, just barely at the edge of town, exit 153, 98TH street. Go south 1/4 mile. Good Gas stations there. Gas and Diesel and the next west exit, 3 RV parks that are nice.
Everywhere else, situational awareness is a must.

We love it here in NM. We HATE Albuquerque.

Leaving isn't easy.
Most of NM is nothing like ABQ. We love it down here in the SE. Good schools, great pay, great economy.

sceep told me to stay out of town. Wife was convinced we needed to stop at this particular store. Not fun with a 42' trailer on the back of the truck.

I didn't stop again until we got to the exit for his mom's restaurant.

Hope she did well on the sale.

Might just bypass ABQ. Headed to Las Cruces - prefer 2 lane hwys over interstate when towing anyway.

Sounds like things in NorCal.

We call an event like the original poster's, "Yesterday in Stockton". The whole Central Valley should be filled up with a couple hundred feet of water for a couple years. Next up would be to saw a line across the peninsula and pull the drain plug on San Francisco.

another paranoia reason why everyone needs a dash cam

i got a job interview in the ghetto of south chicago this wednesday, my neighbor works there and took me there to show exactly where i have to go and he basically told me the same story of cars boxing him in and trying to car jack him, luckily a cop was randomly coming down the street and they all took off.

i think im going to take the train to work if i get this job as it drops off literally at the station

Safe travels, I will be interested in how you are planning to get to Las Cruces without coming down I-25 at some point
