I have a feeling it's going to repeat again this year as well .

This is a decent site to get your local rain totals

https://www.cocorahs.org/

Where I live starting from Oct 1, 2016

Oct 2016 - 23.73"
Nov 2016 - 21.12"
Dec 2016 - 12.75"
Jan 2017 - 7.98"
Feb 2017 - 10.81"
Mar 2017 - 20.47"
Apr 2017 - 5.20"

Totals : 101.02 in

What's up where you live?

That sounds amazingly cool. I live in NorCal because the wife likes sunny skies and good weather, but I prefer torrential downpours and grey skies. Even surfing in the rain is better because everyone else stays home and I've got the waves to myself. It also means deep powder on the slopes and people stay indoors more and off the roads as much as possible. I'd rather have heavy rain any day of the week over anything else and miss living in Oregon and Washington.

4/8 - 77° clear sky
4/9 - 53° 1.36 rain
4/10 - 28° 6" snow so far

Ah, spring in SD. Though I do feel bad for the ranchers, it's calving season. Rain followed by snow is a real bad combo for calving.

yep. what really sucks about it for me is we have a septic field in the backyard which is slightly uphill so all the water gets pushed out into the yard and the yard is so full of water pretty much everytime they sewer pump goes off it just comes out the base of the vent as the field is soaked. so if its yellow let it mellow

also i have a old truck im working on that i want torn apart before i push into the garage and dont want to do it laying in a mud pit

It drizzled steadily on my ride out; aprox. 40min.

It drizzled on and off on the return leg.

Cool website. The closest station to me shows 10% more rain than any in Grays Harbor County. It's just water, you won't melt.

So far, April is below average. I like these maps. I use the departure from normal maps all the time. Kind of required for work.

I've never been to the PNW, but based on my experience from TV and books, it is basically always raining there or drizzling.

According to what I found online, we are at 14.7" in the last 6 months. I have a rain gauge on my weather station but it doesn't measure snowfall. Last time I checked we were also at 168% of average for snowpack, I can say I got sick of plowing snow this winter.

Depends on where you live. Behind Mt Olympus or not. When I was in Bremerton, it was drizzle, and not enough to make me stop riding a bike.

70 or 80 is probably a good average

Except from July 5th till Oct 1. That is the dry season.
