Gambler 500

So I was out wheelin' this weekend and come to find out that the mid run staging point for the Gambler 500 was right next to us. So we decided to sneak in the back door and join the party

Cars just kept showing up all evening. Pics dont do the turnout justice, all the bare pavement ended up filled with cars. The gate was shut and then the road coming into the event began to get lined up. Turnout was well over 1500 people.

What is this event? Looks like a bunch of daily driver vehicles there, nothing abnormal or special...

There is one next month over here. A friend asked me to do it with him. It's the same weekend as our anniversary so I can't do it.

Looks like a ton of fun.

https://gambler500.com/

From what I picked up on its a $500 car race that runs 300 miles plus per day. Checkpoints, different routes, and car raffles for charity at the end.

It looks like a blast, I want to do it so bad. It sucks that it is all the way in Oregon though

I took a walk through tour. Had aftermarket gauges mounted on the floorboard two seats back from the driver, a dead couch that dogs and bums would be found on, empty bottle of Fireball rolling around on the floorboards, and the rearmost section gutted to make room for the hot tub.

And all new tires mounted on Alcoa rims...

I can't say because I wasn't there, but they made a major deal about cleaning up after yourself on all social medias. Hopefully that got through to the masses.

We left HooDoo squeaky clean and am thankful for all that assisted with the efforts there and on trail. Their owner and management group deserve a round of applause because they welcomed us with open arms.

My buddy Adam was there in an old chevy minivan. He was pretty stoked about the whole thing, seems like a great time.
