I stopped watching baseball after all the millionaires went on strike demanding more millions

F- them
They make millions playing a GAME and millions isn't enough for them

Gonna stop watching what few NFL games I watch

The product is the game
The store owner is the team owner.
The employees are the players.
I am the customer.

If teh employees are acting a fool, and the store owner SEEMS to approve of it, I go elsewhere.

Come on, we all know bias clouds people's perceptions. The NFL has had sliding ratings for over a year now since Kaeperjack started this.

Last year they blamed it on the election. Week 1 and 2 they blamed it on the hurricanes. Week 3 they blamed on Trump.

JD Power did a poll that showed the number one reason people were turning off was the anthem protests. Everyone is doing their best to ignore that and explain it to other causes.

Here, I found something as unbiased at politifact. ESPN Admits: Viewers Tuned Out NFL Because Of Anthem Protests

With all the smart phones/tv's/etc the league and advertisers know almost exactly when the show if being turned on and off. They have the profile and know whats up. They just can't come out and say it.

After seeing many of the Broncos kneeling I didn't care all that much when they lost. Just more disgust in general.

Remember when professional baseball went on strike in the 90's? It took a long time for their popularity to come back. NFL might not get that bad, but it lost me and my family as viewers.

The NFL has been a joke for years. Overpaid players, overpaid owners, taxpayers subsidizing stadium building, overpriced tickets, the quasi-religious nature of the way they treat their "legacy", etc.

Stick a fork in them, they're cooked.

The American taxpayer and fan can only take so much. NASCAR set the example on that accord and the NFL will pay the price in lost revenue, lost viewership, and people will go elsewhere for entertainment. $$$ talks, B.S. walks.

They have no freedom of speech at work. In this case, the Team owners(except Jerry Jones, according to a poster on this forum) have allowed the players to show their asses.

There isn't a single athlete, no matter how squeaky clean his rep that I would hold up as an example or look up to personally. They are big dummies paid to smash into each other.

Anyone who is making a stink either for or against this is putting way too much stock into what athletes say and do, never mind giving them the publicity they are looking for.

But yeah, spend your time getting outraged about the demonstrations, totally a good use of your time.
Sometimes you need to draw a line in the sand. If you don't big picture here(liberals pushing their agenda) you are a fool. This is another example of liberals making the white male the boogie man. It is time to make a stand and hitting the NFL in the pocket book is a great place to start.

All the NFL had to do was tell the players to protest on their own time and all would have been good. Nope. Had to go full pclibtard.

Probably? ESPN can't come up with a fact to base their article on?

I finally got around to pulling the two Cowboys star decals off my truck today. The only other Cowboys gear I have is a 20-30 year old sweat shirt one of my daughter's stole from me. I'm going to get it back and toss it in the burn barrel. I will provide video.

Your article gave an estimate of 9%.

Mine claims an actual drop of 14%.

Don't forget ratings were down last season 8%.

8% in unfucking believably HUGE!

If Coke was down 8% year over year there would be heads rolling and executives diving out of high rise windows.

I've never once said I agree with them or that they have a point. Either you're for all the freedoms or you're for none of them. They want to exercise their rights, go ahead. They're also free to reap whatever blowback there may be. I don't have to support it or agree with it, but I sure as fuck aren't going to begrudge someone living their life how they want.

Yup. The first amendment only protects people from retaliation from the government.

If while I represent my company I start spouting my political views and I alienate half of my company's customers, you can bet your a$$ that I'll be out of a job very quickly. And rightfully so.

It is rather amusing how Trump's latest NFL Twitter barrage has coincided with the Obamacare "repeal" bill going down in flames. And the sad part is that it's worked!
