Peppermill Coffee Shop and Bar on Paradise Blvd. Great place to revisit or cure a hangover and hit on waitresses in short skirts.

My go-to place when I'm slummin'.

Better like Magenta and Purple tho:

On Convention Center Drive, between Las Vegas Blvd. and Paradise Blvd. Good eats cheap, and plenty of visual entertainment.

House of Blues is our favorite restaurant so far and it is inside Mandalay Bay. Voodoo Shrimp and Shrimp and Grits were great.

I'm staying at the Mandalay Bay, yep, that one. I will be in meetings all day except Sunday afternoon when I arrive, and some of Monday. Then I'm out on Thursday after more work. So I've got some evenings to myself.

There are a billion options out there, and I have no idea on how to narrow them down. So I'm not wasting my time, I'm asking you to help narrow them for me.
No one has asked this so I will, what do you like? Vegas has amazing food everywhere and buffets that are awesome. If food is not your thing there are great watering holes everywhere. If sight seeing is what you like then Hoover Dam and maybe Stratosphere tower, if you want animals there are sharks, dolphins, tigers, lions at various places. A few places also have rides if that is your thing. I like to go get a big drink from Fat Tuesdays in MGM and then just start walking the strip. Just wondering in and out of casinos is fun and before you know it you are out of time. Also at night several places do shows out front. Belagio dancing waters, Mirage volcano, Treasure Island pirate battle. There is something for everyone in Vegas. And you will be safe on the strip 24/7 unless you do something stupid.
IMO
best buffets= RIO
best tour= Hoover dam
best prime rib ever= Lowery's the prime rib
best hooker= Betty

Do they still have the Brazillian Steakhouse/Rum Bar?

Rum Jungle, I think, or maybe Fire and Ice.

Been some years.....

There's some fun stuff to do right in Mandalay, and around the area. Walking distance to the Bellagio fountains, Treasure Island, etc.

Put your walking shoes on and check it out, be sure and wear Bermuda shorts and black socks, while you're at it (i.e. be a stoopid tourist). Sounds like you can keep your hand on your wallet, so enjoy the semi-free show.

Tip: Free drinks at the video poker bars. Grab a roll of quarters, etc. from the bartender and slow-poke a few rounds of 21.

That'll take care of the first evening....

Then, Hookers and Blow.

<edit> Didn't realize was a Necro-post.
