Very high and way up there for a street bike. Nice ride. Nothing like beating the shit out of your ride and hammering your guts and spine out, eh ? The suspension on my Honda absolutely sucks at absorbing ANY hits from the road or ground. If I rode a "road" like that I would be standing on the pegs after the first 30 seconds or so. To keep this back on topic I will find some challenging backdrops, I promise.

First of all, nice work. That would be a hand full! What tires did you run? TKC80, D606?

And lastly, you are correct at 3 times the weight and 20% of the suspension, but you need remedial maths for the 3 times the power! Whats a 1200 sporty make 65hp or so? A ktm 500 exc makes 50. A 950 adventure makes 102. Hell my 300xcw two stroke makes 51hp!

I wasn't going to chime in on that but since its been brought up my XR650R is rated at 61 HP but it's the low end grunt that makes rocky shit manageable and it has plenty of that too. Both HP and Torque specs are at way higher RPMs than are reached on rocky Jeep roads.

Beating the shit out of myself is putting it lightly...

Yea TKC 80's It's got a 1250 kit on it, so about 100hp.

Bad thing about the sporty is the gearing, clutch out first gear and it want's to be at about 15MPH with zero throttle. That doesn't sound fast until you're negotiating a boulder field.

Just finished rebuilding the bike for the 3rd time, this build included relocating the pegs back 6" and down 2", massive skid plate, new exhaust, chain conversion, and all new suspension, I've now got 7" of pretty decent travel front and rear. I still need to install the Rekluse clutch I bought for it, that should make a world of difference.

I was working on the 'anywhere you want' challenge. Can I substitute a cell phone tower for a radio tower?

That was my plan just to keep the thing rolling here.

No idea if flickr still works in here. Zoom in tower on the ridge to the right. Challenge can still be open if not close enough.

My bike, with tower(s) in the background. The view would have been nicer before they started developing the lot at the end of the street...

google drive is working well for me. Snap the pic on my phone, reduce the size to something reasonable, upload to google drive, and use this tag to get the picture to hotlink ( {fileId} is taken from the 'get shareable link icon) :
