wow

Rest in peace; I was really hoping this was an old/different kind of thread and was anticipating more positive recovery news. Though our bodies may fail us; strong spirit endures

Ugh.

Having a crap-tastic day here and saw this thread. Was hopeful for good news until I "moused" over the title.

Didn't know him. Didn't meet or chat with him. But dammit, no one deserves to go like that.

RIP Jeff/CG. May you find peace in the clearing at the end of the path.

WTF. RIP big guy

As a yankee looking to honor the man, what counts as sweet tea, those cans of Arizona count?

Put 3 teabags in a pot on the stove in 1 gallon of cold water. Bring to a boil. shut it off, and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

Place 1 slightly heaping cup of sugar in the bottom of a 1 gallon pitcher, then pour the rested tea into the pitcher. Make sure you use the stirring spoon to wring out the tea bags, Just use the back of the spoon to flatten them against the inside of the pot. Don't rupture the tea bags.

Stir, and refrigerate until cold. Serve without ice.

Fuck, I didn't see this yesterday. I'm usually pretty cold about people dying, but this really sucks. He might have been a big stubborn asshole, but dude had a damn good heart and effected more people's lives than he'll ever know.

I never really talked to him much directly, but there were several times he PM'd me over the years just to offer help in situations he thought he might be able to. Everything from personal stuff to work related issues, he'd just offer up help out of the blue. This world could use more people like Jeff.
