i know someone who has worked with Cruz for many years. Couldnt say anything bad about him. Likes working for him, is still doing so, to my knowledge. The guy is married to my wife's co-worker.

I must have missed your article link on the other thread. Thatís actually what lead to this spin off.
@72blazer

i know you have, but wanted you to know it wasnt a shot at you personally. You live in the valley, you know what goes on there.

Got a friend with ATF in McAllen. He's a very busy guy. It would take 20 years to clean up the corruption down there. Longer in Laredo, maybe a little less time in Corpus. El Paso, probably never.

I hope it never comes to that. If you lop off the top portion of VA, known as NOVA and give it to Maryland, VA would be a red state.

It sucks DC is connected to our State.

Corpus has some of the most messed up politics of any place Iíve been. The mayoral debacle has apparently be ongoing for a long time.

See Iíve had this debate with my buddy. He began to shout that Cruz is a racist when I immediately informed him that Cruz has Cuban roots and ďBetoĒ is simply an Irish guy that changed his name recently to pander to the Hispanic vote (not a dumb move on his part because those mush for brains have been eating it up). Upon this revelation, said buddy redirected to ďwhat has Cruz done for you as a Mexican?Ē

Cruz and his campaign should always refer about him by his real last name, then - ex con after it.

In all honesty, People have short attention spans these days so I'd say he should start pushing super hard the last 60-90 days. before the election.

Cruz may win, but it won't be by 10 points.

Beto has a huge amount of money, whether it's from Soros, or just national money, I don't know. I personally believe it's from all the heave Dem states where the party doesn't have to spend any money, so they are sending it to Texas by the truck load

I see BETO signs, people wearing BETO gear, and see BETO events, EVERYWHERE.. I saw at leat 2 people wearing the shirts just yesterday (and I don't see that many people in a day).

If I didn't know it, I couldn't even tell if CRUZ was running in this terms election. I have seen NO Cruz signs, seen no gear, and haven't heard of any events.

I did hear an ad where Trump was blasting Cruz (taken straight from Trumps last campaign)

BETO has set the stage, now Cruz look like a mud slinger by waiting so long to get his message out there.

And You will see no debate. Why would you? This election (like all elections) is about turn out (not message), which is why the gear and signs matter. BETO won't get a single additional voter to turn out by agreeing to a debate. His base is already excited to go vote. Cruz's people will begrudgingly go to the polls, but not with the same energy the BETO voters are going for.

There is no excitement around Cruz.

true. but cruz is a sure thing. for that, he doesn't need ads... and the other side just doesn't have the numbers.

the cruz victory could be 15 points when they finish counting.... signs don't amount to much.

irony that there is a group of people out there - socially and in government - who are trying to hold anyone and anyone accountable for something they or their parents did/said 40 years ago...

Beto had some big fundraiser in NY state yesterday. Why a Texas senate hopeful would need to have a fundraiser in NY is beyond me but...

I think it's going to be a tight race. Republicans need to ensure they get people out to the polls, there is a lot of hate for Cruz out there and a lot of push for Beto

I've seen a good handful of signs around the neighborhood. I'll be voting for Cruz, and I don't have a Cruz sign in my yard, so hopefully there's more doing the same than we all realize.

He's just a typical gun-control socialist democrat. And I'm getting tired of seeing his ads on every local TV channel.
I trolled them also, they have been texting the shit out of everybody. I asked them why they were more concerned about people in other countries than the one who might elect them.
