That's very close to my house. Unfortunately, I'm. Blocked out of town, text me an address and I'll see if I can get someone to check on them. My bil is law enforcement in the area. And another buddy is a call fire engineer.

Yes, his shop is in upper paradise and his home is upper northern Magalia. Not looking good for either location.

Thankfully everyone I know is out of town and safe as far as I know.

Lots of hearsay, and having worked on fire clean up, you don't really know what's left or not until you lay you own eyes on it. From what I've heard lower Magalia and all of paradise got hammered. The hospital, Kmart, Ace hardware and the high school are all gone.

I know for a fact that my bil and sil lost thier house. My fil and mil live near the hospital on the edge of the canyon so thier house is most likely gone. He had to leave his car after a burning branch fell on it and caught it on fire. He made it to Chico and is OK.

Every road into paradise is closed, they even have 99 into Chico closed as there is a possibility that it could make its way into Chico.

I'll post up more info as I get time.

@ParadiseAutoElectric you safe?

I'm way south but if anyone needs property to store stuff or camp out on my place is open in 93907. Come drop off a trailer or whatever and pick it up in a few months when shot gets sorted out.

Sorry to hear. They are safe though? That is what matters. Yotatietoo was the first user I thought about when I saw the fire area. Hope his things don't get burned. I might need his tow strap again next year.

My bil's parents lost thier 3 house in the last few years to fire

The house his mom was born in partially burned a few years back. A year later they lost thier rental house to a brush fire. Not long ago they moved into thier new home on the original property and just lost that.

about 15 miles SE of the Camp fire

November 8, 2018 at 4:40 PM NorthOps has diverted 3 S-2s to the new start in Yuba County, the Natchez Fire.

How do you recover from something like that? I've always heard that insurance is never adequate to replace everything, or even close.

Well it's well beyond losing a house or a vehicle.

Multiple cars found with bodies in Magalia

A friend of my sons (6yrs) parents have not heard from the person who picked up thier kids from school since 930 am.

I'm stuck in Oroville, feeling helpless. 7 young kids, 6 adults, 2 cats and like 12 dogs in a 2 bedroom house. Which is still a million times better off than some.

The first one was mostly in the garage, so they were able to save almost everything...... Which was all lost in the 2nd house. The house that was just burned was still pretty empty from what I heard, but still.

I'd be moving to the PNW or something

She is located on the north side of the fire which is good.
winds are coming out of the north so it should move slower in that direction

the newest satellite data shows she is still just north of the fire, but very close

hoping for the best for her
