It's literally like the whole town. That vid was Clark road, which is right through the middle of town.

Even if my house is still there, I'm not sure what we will do. All the grocery stores are gone, all the schools are gone, restaurants, ect. Jesus. I'm not sure if the town will ever recover.

@ParadiseAutoElectric

Listening to the scanner

Fire is well established near pulga Bridge heading towards scooters. They are saying it could impact Yankee hill.

Be safe

Wish I had better news for everyone.
Wish no one needed maps like this.

Yesterday (Thursday) at about 6pm there was an infrared overflight of the #Campfire in northern California. Fire staff analyzed that data and determined the fire perimeter as of that time. Based on that data staff also determined that 54,586 acres have been burned so far.

Below is a link that starts GISsurfer and displays that perimeter and related data. The “Legend” link is in the upper left corner along with a “Map tips” link to help you get the most benefit from the map. The map has multiple GIS layers you can turn on/off and restack.

My thoughts are with all of you. Condolences to those who lost property.

An arsonist tried setting our town on fire yesterday. He's on the loose and can't imagine what I would do to him if I found him.

I’m pretty far away, but my offer always stands. I have plenty of room for trailers and livestock for people being evacuated.

So sorry to hear about those that already lost their houses and wish the best of luck to the rest in the area.

If any one needs help in that area. I can head back up that way after work. Get there around ~5:30-6pm.

If anyone is remotely thinking they are getting evacuated soon. I would be on the phone booking hotels now. My family had to find a place in willows and they booked that super early yesterday. I cannot imagine how far you would have to go to book a room somewhere.

They're talking about it heading down Ponderosa and that's its made it to Compton. My house is about 20 yards from Ponderosa and Skyway, my sliver of hope is looking pretty slim now.

From the looks of it, it's going to wipe out all of Magalia now too.

My daughter said the same thing, and my response was, "you mean like I know all these people on pirate that I've never met."

Stay safe, updates here have died down on the news cycle due to the so cal fire and the shooting vigils.

I saw a video of someone driving down south park just past her rd looking left and there was lots of houses going up. Now I am hearing they are trying to fight it heading down Ponderosa and that's its near the school. It really seems like there isn't going to be much left.

Even if there is, they aren't going to let anyone in for a week or more from what I hear. And even then it may be many weeks after that until there is power or water. Tell them to make long term plans to stay somewhere.

Glad they are safe. Jesse has done so much for the 4x4 community over the years. Even though his shop has a metal roof, I doubt there's anything left after that stand of trees goes up, or has already gone up.

Google Maps pic.
